I tried to buy a giftcard 2 xs. I put all my CC information, but after I did all that the app just said processing for over a minute! I looked above that and there was a prompt to input a code. I had already put my security code from my CC in the appropriate box. I looked to see if I had been emailed or texted a code and there wasn't anything there! I don't know if this app will run my CC twice! I have no faith in this app. Also on another mealtrain, the couple receiving food complained they were getting too much food for two people!

What a great concept but poor execution. New to the service I responded when someone dear needed help. I bought a gift card that was offered and featured, only to find out that business is no where near the person who needs it. Why feature a restaurant that is totally useless to the situation?? Why not offer restaurants near? I contacted them for help to either issue a refund or to change the vender to someplace she could use. Neither Meal Train nor Gift Shop offered any solution. A waste of my money . I will never use this service again

People should know that there is an 8% fee removed from all donations. Also, any donations you receive will be labeled as "income" on your bank account, which means you will further have to pay income taxes on them!! My parents donated $1k to us for the birth of our second baby using the mealtrain link out of convenience and we lost $80 of it to fees and now I will also have to pay taxes. Just leave instructions for your people to donate directly to you via venmo, PayPal (as family and friends), or a wire transfer so you can avoid ridiculous & unnecessary fees!! Love the calendar signup aspect of mealtrain especially during postpartum, but damn they should give a notice when you turn on donations about the fees. Always read the terms of service before agreeing to these sort of things!

I would give it a "ZERO" if it was an option. I went on the website to make a donation. I was hoping to use PayPal but discovered that they don't take it. I left the room to get a credit card and came back to discover an email thanking me for my donation of $200. I NEVER entered any amount or credit card information and I have no idea how they have it. I never entered the expiration date, the code from the back of the card, ir any informationthey normallyask for. There is NO customer service, no email, and no phone number to call for customer service. I had to dispute the charge with the credit card company. If you want to help someone and you get the link, DO NOT use the mealtrain website. Find another way to help.

SCAM!!!! PLEASE BEAWARE!!! This company needs to be investiagted on every level. Zero customer support when you email support you received a generic message from a bot. Ive received several donations, however bank account can not be added its been 60 days of contacting them in regards to this issue. It is claimed that the money will be refunded within 90 days. That was not the cases, my first ever donation was 120 days ago from a distant friend, I've reached out to this person pertaining wether the donation was reversed back in to their account. I was told that the donation was completed months ago and the was never reversed. Long story short BE AWARE they keep all of your donations.
