This is a great piece of kit

This is a great piece of kit. It takes all the guess work out of knowing if your meat is done. Set the temperature and desired amount of cooking and leave it to do its stuff. Time for a beer or a gin while it’s doing its job and take it out when it reaches temperature. It even builds in resting time.

Their shipping is slower than expected.

Order did not arrive one time. That being said, once it arrived, I gave the product an honest chance. It performs exceptionally. I've used it for 4 meals so far and the only disconnect I got was when the microwave was running and and base station stuck to the side of it. I tested it in the outdoor grill and had no problems with anything.

Replacement Probe

Replacement Probe:
Be careful with the warranty on this product. When my probe cracked, they told me my new (6-month-old) probe was damaged due to the heat exceeding 1000 degrees. As much as I would like it to, my grill doesn't get above 700-800 (including flare-ups). If it breaks again, I'll happily try another company.

*$50 for a replacement Probe

We’re sorry to hear your probe got damaged. There are several factors that could cause a grill to overheat, such as fires or defective parts. If you’d like to check the cook history of the probe, you can do so through the MEATER app. Simply tap the three dots in the top-left corner of the screen, select "Previous Cooks," and look for any cooks where the temperature limits were exceeded. Regardless of the warranty of your unit, our goal is to get the product to work as designed. When I wanted to know some thing about…

When I wanted to know some thing about the DUO they got back to me fast, not days or weeks. If I wanted to know some thing a week later I would wait till then.
I was really surprised how fast they responded back.
It didn't take that long to get it after I ordered it on January 22 at night and got it in My hands on January 28 in the morning. They sent it out really fast but the mail takes long than ups.

Slow start but a HAPPY Ending!

Original, I gave this product one star because it did not work. Took quite a bit of work with their customer service team but they got it fixed. They replaced the actual thermometer and then the box. They kept at until it worked. They were pretty easy to deal with and when they sent something it came quickly. Now that it works I love it. Awesome piece of kit to use while cooking.
