It's a fantastic service; five stars!

I needed to use MedCert because the medical practice I use refuses to share my medical records with the police for a shotgun renewal. I was sceptical at first, but they really looked after me. Unsurprisingly, my medical practice didn't respond to MedCert's requests for the records, but they didn't give up (thank you, Jen). Once they received them, they turned the report around in 24 hours. It's a fantastic service; five stars!

Highly recommended

Contacted Med cert after finding that my Doctor didnt do shooting renewals. They were excellent. Sorted very quickly and this included having to contact both the new surgery in England AND the old surgery in Wales as I had moved home.
Highly recommended.

So much easier than your own GP

I gave Medcert a call after getting nowhere with my GP.

My license's were about run out and the Police were breathing down my neck to get things sorted out, or hand in my firearms...

My GP was trying to charge me an abhorrent amount of money to show me my own personal Medical history and sign off my Firearms renewal application. The final straw was when they announced it would take 3-5 months as it was of no interest to the GP or urgent!!

After calling Med cert, they advised on a reasonable cost for them to retrieve my Medical history, which could be done in 3-4 weeks!
I agreed and the whole process was completed in 5 weeks which negated myself having to hand in my Firearms for storage.
Great Job Medcert!

Absolutley impressed with Medcert. First met the team at the British Shooting Show a few years ago and, having mild concerns about using my GP, I reached out. My GP dragged their heels in sending my medical records across (not a fault of medcert at all!) - but as soon as they were recieved my performa was turned around within 24 hours. Absolutley brilliant.

My doctors surgery informed me that they do not provide information for shotgun licensing. So I thought I would try the 'Medcert' route. So pleased I did, what an excellent efficient service, easy online process, and they sort it all out for you, and it was accepted by the police firearms department.

Fabulous

Fabulous, so pleased I used Medcert. Got the job done despite my Doctor Surgery mucking things up. Persisted and worked the problem. Communication was very good. They were very helpful. Worth every penny.

MedCert is a disaster and a con.

MedCert is a disaster and a con.
I paid them for a medical certificate in order to renew my FAC.
Now, 12 months on I still have not received anything.
I gave up on them after 3 months and went to my GP. Though it cost £100 my GP turned it round in 1 week.
So I paid the MedCert and my GP.
When I reported my experience to the Police, they were not interested, though they did say they are aware of problems with MedCert.
What a bunch of cowboys Medcert are.
