I came to Peru in order to improve my Spanish skills. This experience was full immersion with a wonderful host family, good walking distance location for the school, amazing teachers and good communication/organization. I definitely recommend the experience for those who want to dedicate some time to honing your skills with the added bonus of learning some medical spanish as well. Added bonus, for those who are vegan/vegetarian, the restaurants and host families are easily able to accommodate you!

This was an incredible experience. While I only participated in the program for a week, my Spanish improved significantly. The staff was extremely accommodating and focused on specific areas where I needed review and improvement. I would recommend this program to any one!

My 4 weeks with Medical Electives Peru was incredible. I had lots of worries coming to do a medical elective abroad by myself, only knowing basic Spanish, but my reservations soon dissipated when I found myself never wanting to leave by the end of week 1! The instructors are friendly, kind, and encouraging. My homestay was perhaps my favorite part. There can be a high turnover of students, as some stay for as little as one or two weeks. However, it only adds to an enriching time in Trujillo as you learn Spanish, meet others in the medical field, and go on adventures together. I really can't recommend this program enough.
