ZERO STARS

Would give ZERO stars if possible. You cannot cancel without reading through copious amounts of ‘terms and conditions’. Generic emails. VERY COMPLICATED recipes … they are after your money and that’s all that matters. DO NOT SIGN UP!!

Rip off

I subscribe to Medieats and it was the worst experience ever. I gave it a try and did not work for me and I asked for a refund and was told even thou it did not work they could not refund me ( so waste of money) I was told there would not be any further payment incurred, but the next time round, they took a payment out again and I asked again for my refund and they told me that they could not and sorry for the confusion but I had to fill out a form but I was not told that in our last email or I did not get a link to cancel. I was just told that they cancelled it and there were not going to be any further fee incurred. So pissed off. So please do not waste time or monies

-10 stars if I could

-10 stars if I could. Trust Pilot should revoke Medieats as they are fraudulent. The keep sending the same generic email and won't cancel anything. I followed the steps and cancelled my subscription and now I have another bill. They charge various amounts to your credit card. Fraudulent and deplorable DO NOT USE THEM.

AVOID IT ALL COST

AVOID IT ALL COST! Do NOT sign up. Even though they make it sound like it is a one time purchase, they WILL go ahead and charge you again as a subscription, you wouldn't know until it's too late. Tried getting money refunded for second unauthorized charge but refused. They just keep sending automated messages. There is no account info section to access on their website to see your renewal terms, etc. It's a complete SCAM. I repeat do NOT sign up. Product is also sub-standard.

Money scamming, shoddy

I signed up for a 10-week plan but the recipes kept featuring 2 key ingredients I don’t like (salmon and tuna). I asked if the recipes could be adjusted and received a response saying they could send recipes with different ingredients. By week 5 I was receiving salmon and tuna recipes again. I expected the subscription to lapse after 10 weeks. No. They charged my credit card without any notice or letting me know I could opt-out. I’m really disappointed by the lack of delivery on their promise to provide individual care. I’ve tried to cancel and have asked for a refund several times. There’s been no response for 2 weeks now, but the recipes still come to my inbox each week. It makes me wonder why the subscription hasn’t been cancelled as I’ve requested. Shoddy!

I agree with everyone's negative…

I agree with everyone's negative reviews, they are underhanded and deceitful,no legitimate refund policy.I initially signed up for 4 weeks, then without any noticed I was charged an additional $40US after my first 4 weeks,I tried to cancel but was told that because of their refund policy it was not possible.I have learned my lesson,I will never again make an online purchase without checking with Trustpilot first!

If I could put 0 stars I would

If I could put 0 stars I would. I subscribed to the one month, (4 weeks) menu plan. It cost me AU$44 for the month. I was quite satisfied with that, however did not see the need to renew having a months worth of recipes.

I have now discovered that they automatically renewed my subscription for more than double that amount AU$112 for 2 months without notice or permission.

I sent a polite email requesting a refund, which they have refused.

I have blocked all future payments through my PayPal, but this is very poor form!!

Sneaky, underhanded, inflexible

I never intentionally subscribed to this, although I do remember trying to read about it. I was charged $25 initially, couldn't figure out what it was for, searched my emails and found nothing. Only after I got a notification that another $69.99 was charged to my account, I got the idea to look in my spam folder. There were some emails from them in there (my bad). Obviously I had no further recourse, but I still can't figure out how I got subscribed in the first place. They were not at all flexible about refunding even a portion, despite that their documents were never seen or opened bt me. Sneaky underhanded way of doing business.

Scam of a company

If I could give this 0 stars I would.
I did not sign up for a subscription and now I have been charged $69.90 for something I did not want or ask for.
The cancelation policy is a complete joke. Their instructions do not work ans the automated emails are ridiculous.
Steer clear of this company.

Scam

This company is a scam. When you buy a plan, there is no indication anywhere, you are buying a subscription. Two months later, they charge you a ridiculous amount. Their refund policy is a joke. Very underhanded. Stay clear of this company.

I would rate it zero if I could

I would rate it zero if I could. When I received the email starting this program and took a look at it, I realized it was not for me and replied to the email saying I do not want your service. I was just charged $100 for my subscription to this program that I had informed them I did not want since then I have tried to cancel this or get help to cancel this eight separate times. I receive a formatted reply saying fill in this form put in your code. I have tried more than 10 times to tell them I do not have a code was never sent a code and I’m unable to do as instructed as this information never goes back-and-forth between a person to person. I am still sitting with a charge and I’m assuming I still have a subscription which I do not want. This is nothing but a scam.

MediEats

Stay clear of this Company! MediEats, is underhanded and deceitful. I purchased a 2-month plan. There was no reference whatsoever to any ongoing subscription! However 2 months after my purchase a further charge appeared on my credit card. The 2nd charge was almost 3 times more than the initial 2-month purchase. I've had to jump through hoops to get this unauthorised subscription cancelled and the Company refuses to refund the surreptitious charge to me, stating that "a refund for cases like these are N/A as per their policy terms" What a despicable company!

Be careful, it's a scam!

Medieats uses abusive practices, such as an automatic renewal that isn't disclosed anywhere, and there are no refunds for these unsolicited renewals. You can't cancel the automatic renewal yourself; you must contact them, and they'll try to convince you not to. Be careful, it's a scam!
