got scammed by Lenovo customer service…
got scammed by Lenovo customer service (actually it is Medion, the outsourced repairing company by lenovo)
I sent a email via its support website, with the picture attached to describe the problem of my laptop, they told me "its under warranty, so repair and transport are all covered", so I sent it to them.
2 weeks later, they told me "no, its not under warranty"...if I want it repair, pay 1200 Euro, otherwise, pay another 50 Euros for the returning cost. well, with 1200 Euros, I can buy a new one with upgraded configuration... why do I bother to have a repaired one.
so now, I have to pay 50 Euro to get my laptop back (un-repaired).
let me quote the email:
1st email:
Thank you for contacting Lenovo Support. I understand there is an issue with the temperature of the device and after opening the device you noticed there was something detached regarding the heatsink. As the device still has warranty we can setup a repair to have the depot check the failure and replace the parts.
To be able to set this up I would like to check the following data:
2nd email:
Can you please let me know in a reply if the information above is correct or needs altering.
If all is well I will setup a repair for you, which means you will receive an email with a voucher which you can print out.
Pack you unit for transport (orig. box or good alternative) and put the voucher on the box.
You can bring this package to an UPS delivery point in your neighbourhood (I will include a link in the mail so you can find one).
Transport and repair will be done under warranty and will therefore not be charged to you
I hope to have helped you sufficiantly with this information and I wish you a very nice day.
----quote end----
but in the live support chat, that guy never admit that "it is under warranty" and telling me it`s repair center`s call to decide whether under warranty or not.
ye...what can you do? my laptop is in their hand, they will not return it unless I pay the transport cost.

advice: stay away from it.
