I love the mix of video and animated digital materials.
It doesn’t ask for any payment details unless you want to go to extra levels later on. There is plenty to work with in the free version. Spent 1 1/2 hours on it and can tell you the 10 largest countries by landmass, the first 10 Roman emperors, the Best Picture winners from 2000 to 2020. Not to mention the technique to walk through Mind Palaces and place my own items for memorising.
Really useful for kids studying. Wish I had know this stuff at 10.

Good app but needs a Windows version

good progression from chaining, to stories, to memory palaces. impressive 3d memory palaces to explore and use. I only wish there was a Windows verison of the app to use on my laptop so it doesn't drain my phone battery.

Hi Lisa,

memoryOS is quite different from typical learning apps, and at first, it can feel unclear how everything fits together. Here's a simple path to help you get started without needing to explore everything at once:

Start with the "Memory Crash Course" – it’s designed as a guided intro and builds your foundation step by step.

Once the basics feel a bit more familiar, choose a single Memory Palace room and practice placing and recalling objects. Recreating rooms is not just repetition. It actively trains your brain to form stronger associations, which is the key skill behind memory improvement. Make sure to check the in-room tutorial first.

Then, you can move on to Transfer when you feel you’re ready. There’s no rush here, they’re meant to deepen your understanding once the basics feel comfortable.

Earn Loci Rewards
As you complete lessons and palace rooms, you’ll earn Loci Coins. These rewards help expand your storage space within the palaces and allow you to restore streaks. Your engagement and progress determine how many you collect.

Set Your Own Pace
You don’t need to recreate many rooms every day. For most users, 5–10 minutes a day is more than enough. There isn’t a strict “daily roadmap” like Duolingo yet, so the goal is consistency rather than volume. One lesson or one room per day is already effective. You can always adjust your pace to match your schedule.

Regularly recreating rooms does train your memory, but it works best when paired with understanding the technique, not rushing through content. Focus on one small thing at a time, and let the skill build gradually.

I hope this makes things feel a bit clearer. If anything still feels confusing, just let me know, happy to help!

Best wishes,
Anna
