Good concept but very flawed

Good concept (at least the way it was marketed) - the most powerful business books in video lesson format. After seeing it online everywhere for a year or 2 if not longer, figured I'd give it a shot.

I did the annual subscription b/c significant savings and $59 isn't anything crazy. Nothing wrong w/ an upsell but there were at least 3 at checkout and most if not all were more expensive than the actual service. Declined them all.

I was thinking they would have Covey, Sinek, Godin, etc. but it appears to be just Tai Lopez and friends. There appears to be a little under 300 lessons on here. Jordan Belfort is on there which I think gives you a good idea of the type of person Tai is. I'm not going to say the guy is a scammer but he definitely has some questionable/sketchy practices going on. He seems pretty transparent about what he does though and he's successful (success/income is a measure of value provided, you can't con long term) and has celebrity buddies but appears to be a better to ask for forgiveness than permission type person and make money at whatever cost.

I started Tai's lesson on persuasion, definitely good content but he shouldn't be lecturing - shoots from the hip, boring, and rambles (the rambling kind of defeats the purpose of what their advertising, expedited learning).

I like to learn on the road and at the gym so I downloaded the app and it looks like a highschooler made it for a project, the biggest issue is the lessons don't pick up where you left off.

I then noticed I was charged $89 for the audio upsell. 1. I declined the upsells. 2. What a dumb upsell - video has audio you can watched the videos and just listen to the audio and why does audio cost more than video? Their customer service is like talking to a bot. Responses are inconsistent - sometimes quick, sometimes not at all. They keep explaining what the $89 is for instead of just refunding me. Neat, I know what it's for I didn't buy it/don't want it, give me my money back, not hard. It's been a month and as of today I just got an email that said the audio nuggets have been cancelled/refunded (5-15 days to see), fingers crossed I actually get it. I would also jump to the conclusion it's intentionally designed to be hard to cancel/get refunds.

I recently started watching Drip E-mail Sequences by Jonathan Kendall and I do like it. It has good content in an expedited format.

So in summary, I would look at it at is as like a hub for video lesson content from some successful digital marketers and/or up and coming authors. You could probably find just as good if not better content by searching google/YouTube but you're probably going to have to filter through more garbage that way and MentorBox is only $7/month. It's kind of nice to be able to pop open my Mentor Box app, check out some content that looks like it could be useful, and if the lesson sucks then look for another one.

If someone was like you can only pick 1 - Disney+ or MentorBox, I'd go MentorBox b/c there's a good chance you could learn something (nothing against Disney+, just an example).

If I could back I'd do the monthly subscription and then eventually cancel after I cycled through the content useful to me. Unless they do a serious overhaul, I don't think there's enough good content to keep the service long term. Also, keep in mind you may get charged for stuff you didn't buy and it may be hard to cancel/get refunds.

MentorBox.. pure scam!

In fact, one star is too much for this crappy service!
these guys are eager to suck money out and not teach people anything! I paid for 2-month subscription and haven't got any confirmation mail or a word /second from what they claim they offer to education seekers! I asked for a refund before the 30 day deadline and got NO RESPONSE! I can prove it and they must prove the opposite!

Worst Customer Service

My first Mail was answered that my subscription will be cancelled and no more charges will be made from my bank account. This didn't happen, they still charge me every month and ignore my E-Mails. For a website that pretends to provide education and values this customer experience example is for sure proof enough that they are nothing but a scammer site.

Avoid it

The CEO face is everywhere all around the social media apps, and it's not even pleasant to see.
The idea could be nice, but the contents are pretty lame and not worth at all the money.
The constant spam is the only way they have to merchandise this crap

Manipulative, ambiguous and shameful--DO NOT buy from these peple!

This group "claims" to be top business leaders, mentors, etc. Yet, the whole design of the online process, sales funnel, etc., is ALL designed to manipulate, cause confusion, ambiguity, etc., leading to purchases the consumer did NOT intend! Have to say--shameful and should be totally embarrassing for anyone who allows their name to be associated with these unscrupulous people!!!

Tai Lopez Mentor Box Trial is PURE SCAM

Tai Lopez and everyone who is promoting this trash business equally responsible for the scam they are committing.

3 days trial is just a joke. I activated my trial membership, and I did not like the content and asked the support team to cancel my subscription on the very first day of the trial so that they won't charge my Credit Card.

But There was $7 Approx charge on my card after a few days.

Scam of the highest level!

Scam of the highest level!! Signed up for a 3 day free trial, with billing of $7 per month after. Was charged $59 first day and I'm STILL waiting for the refund. 7-10 business days in this digital age is BS. Plus, no apology for the issue.

No free trial - product is poor

Glitchy app and website Very small selection of summarized books. And many of those aren’t actually summaries but just interviews advertising the book but not actually summarizing it. They have a 3 day free trial but when you cancel on day two, they take your money and no refund. I signed up for $7 per month but was charged for a full year. That’s just plain dirty. I’m convinced that they don’t actually have any customer service employees. Just an email address that no one ever opens and a pretend 888 number that sounds like you are on hold for “the next available agent” but after 2 minutes on hold, it sends you to a voicemail, which no one ever replies to. Genius really. Just don’t accept refund requests: just keep the money and you don’t have to pay for customer service staff. Most people won’t bother with the credit card companies.

I requested to cancel my subscription…

I requested to cancel my subscription and send email to them, the representative confirmed that my membership was canceled and I will not be charged again. A few weeks later I was charged again for my subscription. Now I will have to go through a dispute process through my bank. I suggest you do not subscribe to their membership, because it would be hard for you to cancel it.
