I honestly cannot recommend Richard at Merc-Pro Ltd in Wells-next-the-Sea highly enough. In fact, I’m not sure words can quite do justice to how grateful I am for his help at my time of car-panic.

I had a serious problem with my convertible BMW needing urgent attention that had left me completely frustrated and my car at risk. None of my local garages could resolve the issue. One of the country’s leading mobile car repair services, whose technician had decades of experience and specific training with BMWs — after nearly an hour could not identify or fix the problem leaving me stranded.

Even the local BMW specialists were unable to help either.

In frustration I was also communicating with BMW's Customer Care Team to try assist, and they too were unable to help or obtain urgent help for me, despite numerous attempts on their part to do so.

Plus, as a last resort I was doing tons of Google/YouTube searches, but all to no avail.

At that point, I was at a total loss.

On strong recommendation of going to Richard at Merc-Pro, I decided to risk it and make the very long journey of over an hour to finally see Richard.

At first, I was very sceptical of going to a Mercedes car specialist with a BMW car, but I went because he had been so highly recommended, I was just so desperate and still hoping that perhaps he might be able to shed some light on the problem none-the-less, but I genuinely wasn’t expecting what happened next.

Within minutes — literally minutes — Richard identified the problem. He then immediately set about to resolve it.

I was absolutely blown away.

After all those garages, specialists/highly experienced professionals and BMW's own customer care unit had been unable to find the cause or explain why it was happening, Richard not only identified it, but did so very quickly. It was one of those moments where you simply stand there thinking, “How on earth did he do that?”

But what impressed me equally as much as his incredible knowledge and expertise, was Richard’s integrity.

As a female driver and clearly desperate, Richard could very easily have made the issue sound far more complicated than it was, particularly given I had already told him how many other people had failed to resolve it.

Instead, Richard was completely honest, straightforward and professional. He simply explained the issue and fixed the problem. No drama, no unnecessary work, no attempt to make something bigger than it was or charge me extortionately for it.
That says an enormous amount about the kind of person he is.

Richard demonstrated that he is not only exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled — but he is also honest, trustworthy, genuine and clearly takes enormous pride in doing things properly. In an industry where it can sometimes be difficult to know who you can trust, finding someone like Richard is incredibly reassuring.

So there was a genuine sense of relief when Richard solved the problem, which had evaded so many others. I drove away feeling incredibly grateful — not just because my BMW was finally fixed, but because I had found someone I could genuinely trust.

Richard came highly recommended from persons who told me that they travel nearly 40 miles and for over an hour just to have Richard look at their car – after this experience, I would travel twice that time/distance without hesitation in future.

Car mechanics like Richard are rare. His knowledge is exceptional, but it is his honesty, integrity, willingness and ability to help, that will forever stay with me.

I would therefore, without hesitation, wholeheartedly recommend using the services at Merc-Pro for any necessary car repair services.
