Very interesting "industry".
Total lies! This so-called "business" steals personal data and your time. I was an idiot not to read other users' reviews before getting involved with these criminals. Now I can't delete my personal data because their support is just a robot (not even AI, since they probably don't know how to use it) but simply scheduled automated replies that lead you in circles. Here is an example:

Hi there,
We have confirmed that we have deactivated your profile from the Meridial Marketplace. Your request for data deletion has been received and will be managed by our Privacy Team. You will receive communication from them as soon as it has been completed. If you have any questions in the meanwhile, you can email them directly at privacy"@"invisible.email. Please let us know if you have any other questions that we can address.

privacy"@"invisible.email is same "get lost" robot.
and no matter what you write, this text will keep coming back in circles over and over again.
I have checked this "business" background and it appears the whole "AI Remote Work" scam is under investigation.
US courts are currently considering class action lawsuits from tens of thousands of people against these AI-remote work outfits, here are some of them:
1. Outlier / Scale AI
Case: McKinney, et al. v. Scale AI, Inc., et al.
No.: CGC-24-620481, San Francisco Superior Court.
Named plaintiffs: 6 in united settlement; 14,100 aggrieved workers concerned / 15,477 workers listed.
Essence: workers alleged misclassification as independent contractors, unpaid/underpaid wages, unpaid training, overtime/minimum-wage violations, unpaid expenses, breaks and wage-record violations. Case settled for $12.5 million.
Amber Rogowicz v. Smart Ecosystem, Inc. d/b/a Outlier, et al., CGC-25-621144 — PAGA action; alleged unpaid training/review time, minimum-wage/overtime and related labour violations.
2. Mercor
Case: White v. Mercor.io Corporation
No.: 6:26-cv-00201, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas.
Plaintiff: 1 named plaintiff, proposed class of approximately 30,000 experts.
Essence: alleged misclassification of experts as independent contractors despite Mercor allegedly controlling hours, availability, pay rates, training and supervision; mandatory screen monitoring; unpaid preparatory work/work outside the tracking system; denial of employee benefits.
There is also a separate Mercor data/privacy class action:
Case: White & Beltran v. Mercor, Delve, LiteLLM, et al.
No.: 6:26-cv-00143-H
Plaintiffs: 2 named plaintiffs + proposed class.
Essence: allegations concerning the March 2026 data breach, exposure of identity documents, biometric interview data and financial information, plus intrusive screen monitoring and alleged sharing/use of captured data.
3. Alignerr / Labelbox
Case: Stepan Malkov v. Labelbox, Inc. d/b/a Alignerr, et al.
No.: 25STCV25687, Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Plaintiff: 1 named plaintiff, suing individually and on behalf of similarly situated workers.
Essence: employment/labor class-action allegations against Labelbox/Alignerr. A First Amended Class Action Complaint was filed in November 2025; the case was still active and in mediation proceedings in 2026. The case concerns alleged employment/labor violations; mediation has taken place and the case remains ongoing.
4. Surge AI
Case: Cavalier v. Surge Labs, Inc., et al.
No.: CGC-25-625502, San Francisco Superior Court.
Plaintiff: Dominique DonJuan Cavalier II, from the alleged Class.
Essence: alleged intentional misclassification of data annotators as independent contractors, unpaid training, strict/impossible time limits and resulting wage violations. Claims seek unpaid wages, overtime, penalties, interest and other relief.
Unpaid compensation, misleading onboarding, and arbitrary deactivation
I worked as an independent contractor with (Meridial Marketplace) and had a terrible experience. Payouts failed to match my officially tracked hours, resulting in direct underpayment. Later, my account was abruptly deactivated without prior notice, blocking access to my records and leaving earned wages completely withheld despite repeated follow-ups. Furthermore, after completing onboarding for another task, I was removed under false pretenses—staff later admitted internally in writing that the project had already ended before onboarding even began. Total lack of transparency, bad-faith contractor treatment, and withheld payments. Proceed with extreme caution.
Impertinent scam.

AVOID THIS SCAMMERS
Hi, Everyone, This site is Strong SCAM!!
I have invited "Argonaut-Meridial" exam in meridical.
They scammed 500$ will be paid after onboarding ended and 20$/hour project.
Wow!, scam started after get invited. They gave me company mail, hubsuff invitation, googlechat and slack invitation. Haha, I don't know why they need it before project didn't started yet.
It was annoyed from start, they required full pc sharing and even full time camera open for "attendance".
Complex onboarding, yes, I followed all and did first task.
But stupid platform didn't show even task progress page. After 5 days, they removed most of people from the project.
And I can see their slack channel also STUPID, only existing some of messages is "Happy Birthday", it is like kindergarten. And most message was deleted by owners.
It's completely scam!!, don't try.
They are stealing your personal infomation
Asks for complete computer browser tab access
When applying, they ask for access to your camera, microphone and then a popup came up, asking to allow them access to "all browser tabs". Supposedly this is just for the assessment... but what if its permanent access to your computer so they can steal your banking info someday when banking on a tab... Other AI companies like Handshake and Mercor did not ask for this kind of access. Add that to others saying they ask for you to do lots of "free work" during the application process, then never offer you work... and they are extremely frightening. I wish they didn't have my resume and email now.
They publish fake job ads and once you…
They publish fake job ads and once you register they just steal personal data, pretending you will get a job.
The "test" they ask you to take is unpaid work.
They take advantage of people's
distress.
A shell of its former glory
I've worked for Invisible(now Meridial) for 2.5 years now.
Originally, while it had its flaws, it was a great place to make $$ online. It got me through the good and bad times of my life. Contracts from OpenAI, Meta, Google, 11Labs, and more. It gave me a whole resume of work and accolades to start my journey in the AI industry. But all good things come to an end. The company was sold; they cut costs and got rid of the team lead position. Things went downhill fast. You could tell that they started losing all of the big contracts to competitors. They flew too close to the sun. There is practically nothing left of its former glory. L2s (a less effective version of team leads) are spread thin on multiple projects. They can't focus on one project and make sure they're getting quality work. If you want to be a number rather than an employee, work for Meridial. There is no chain of command (even L2s don't know what's going on). They mostly just have weak language projects that dry up quickly, and there's barely any reliable work for English speakers anymore. This company has been on its way out for a while and is practically dead. The new ownership and poor management decisions fired all of the good employees and managers. They decided that hiring new, unqualified people until something sticks is better. Zero loyalty. Long live invisible and what it used to be. Goodbye Meridial.
Stay away from this group.
They keep advertising that they are hiring, but they never actually connect me with any work. This company has made me feel like I’m being treated as a victim of a scam.
Stay away from this company. I strongly recommend avoiding them so that no one else becomes another victim.
Felt pretty shady to me!
I just initially applied 2 days ago . I spent literally hours with the application process and then the assessments. When it came down to taking the proctored assessment, it was crazy! Access to your microphone, camera and share your entire screen. I finally, against my better judgement, went through with all of the permissions. After about the fourth scenario I was supposed to speak about how I would handle a certain scenario, I thought the things that were being asked had nothing to do with assessing anything for the job. I was fed up and stopped right in the middle of it. Something about that whole situation felt strange. I'm really not sure why I didn't listen to my first instinct. Lesson learned the hard way!
BEWARE
BEWARE! Terrible, their onboarding process is a pain! It even looks like a scam to get personal data. They ask for an endless amount of personal info.
Not only that, in my case there was an UNFIXABLE BY YOUR OWN ISSUE with the address verification, saying they would reach out. They never did. Two months and never closed the ticket or gave a miserable answer.
I just got an offer from a project of theirs but I'm unable to work because of that UNSOLVED ISSUE.
I will just try to erase my data en leave such a shitty platform.
Stay away.
Be careful with that company
Be careful with that company - asks to verify too much documents, too much personal data. During the interview, the computer's antivirus system started blocking the program, and I had to reset the computer settings. Completely unreliable website. I am not sure, do they even can offer any job ....
Disjointed requirements leading to a waste of my time
I was accepted to one of their AI testing jobs and it turned out to be a frustrating waste of time. They require you to go through training and to do some practice tasks before you get accepted officially onto the project. The training material is not clear and spread out across multiple platforms. Once you complete the training you need to complete some practice exercises. The problem is that the training material does not prepare you for the practice exercises. There is additional training material provided to complete the practice exercises. The practice phase training material is outdated and the feedback from the QA was based on stuff that was not in the training material. Not worth my time to figure out what output they are expecting as their expectations were not clearly communicated
useless
I can say a lot about my experience with them but one little fact resumes well this platform : I opned a ticket to get help from helpdesk. I received an answer after 2 months and 23 days in which the person just said there is no issue and I can use normally the account (which i wasn't able too, the reason if my help request) and closed the ticket. So there was no way to answer him/her.
I needed may be to open a new ticket and wait 3 months again. The worst platform and worst help team
This company is probably a scam
I'm a Japanese and I passed their initial test a while ago. Since then I have taken some other tests they offered me but have not received any real work.
The worst thing is that this company got into my gmail without asking me and deleted some of the emails that I had received from them (like the invitation to their interviews, etc.) as if they wanted to remove all the evidence of their messages.
I think they do other really sneaky things like using a camera during the test so that they can collect applicants' physical data like the "iris" of your eyes.
Overall, this company looks highly untrustworthy and I recommend you not to give any of your personal data. I shouldn't have!
Don't waste your time with Meridial
I found myself wanting to apply for jobs under the very enticing umbrella of Meridial. I went through all the hoops, and then when it came to the 'proving where I live' despite providing more that adequate proof, it failed to believe me and my application has stalled. I cannot try with another document, that's it. I have of course made numerous attempts to remedy the situation and despite many promises from them nothing has been done and I guess I am now collatoral damage on yet another AI curated crap service. These systems are dangerous and demonstrate clearly why they are not suitable for circumstances such as this.
Don't get SCAMMED (1st tips to recognize AI accounts/posts 🔽)
I'm currently applying for fullstack dev jobs as a junior, and I've never heard of Meridial or Invisible Technologies before being contacted via the LinkedIn chat, from an account pretending to be a Senior Sourcing Specialist.
Luckily, I thought about checking the background, and the trustpilot's reviews convinced me.
What were the clues ?
- The account that contacted me in the first place, didn't have a profile picture, 0 posts or reposts, it felt sketchy. Most of the time, in these situations it's better to trust your guts.
- The company, because I haven't heard from it before doesn't mean it didn't exist, but I ran a quick background check, found that it's an AI training company that's been around since 2015. It seems to be a detail but, these days, AI companies use any means possible to "train" AI softwares, even through what seems to be an online application test.
And Meridial is an AI training company that's been there for a while, they're basically AI pros.
Keep in mind that apps like LinkedIn, Indeed and similar job apps are a playground for AI training, with companies' and people's intel available to the public - it's open source for AI training.
That's the main clues you can look for, and if you're still doubting, you can check on websites like here.
PS : I am NOT an AI expert, so I don't know if my theory is true and Meridial is a Scam, but it feels like it is. But not an expert, desperate artist yes, expert no.
Thank You for reading, hope it helps !
Is Meridial (Invisible) yet another fake AI company?
Hi. I have applied for several jobs on Meridial (Invisible), spending around 5-6 hrs on AI interview assessments.
They are really proving to be Invisible according to my experience so far.
My registration is stuck at the last step, address verification.
I cannot redo it. They wrote to wait for them to reach out to me. They haven’t.
So I reached out to them several times. They do not respond at all.
What is up with this company?
Do they only harvest the AI video interview data for their own purposes?
Because I have so far wasted almost a whole day on their application, and I see no results yet.
And I reach out to them and they do not respond at all.
Btw, I have a very similar experience with SME Careers, too.
What’s up with these companies? Are they fake?
I've been taking tests with Meridial…
I've been taking tests with Meridial marketplace since the end of May. I was invited to join a project, I opened an account, I filled in all that was required, I opened a slack account as requested -I'm the only member of the project (?) -, all of a sudden I don't have access anymore to the email address they had created @invisible email. Now, today is July 10, one month and a half later, still I'm not working. I wrote an email asking for clarification: the project I was invited to has been put on a hold, my email account deactivated. Why didn't they told me about this? Very unprofessional if not something else, thinking to close my account with them. Beware, I'm afraid it's a scam!
I have been trying to resolve my…
I have been trying to resolve my address verification issue with Meridial for over a month. I uploaded my proof of address, and it remained pending for a long time before eventually failing. The platform stated that I would receive an email with further instructions, but I never did.
I have contacted customer support multiple times. They usually reply asking me to wait for their response, but either I never hear back from them or they provide no actual solution or explanation for the issue.
To make matters worse, the platform does not allow me to resubmit my proof of address, leaving my account stuck with no way to complete the verification process.
I am very frustrated with the lack of communication and effective customer support. I hope Meridial improves its verification process and provides proper assistance to users facing these issues.
DON'T waste your time
The platform is a total scam, don't waste your time. There's zero work there, you just take tests, but there is absolutely NO work afterwards. It feels like they're just harvesting data for free. It’s the same dead-end scam as other AI marketplaces. The bubble has burst, the work is gone.
