I hired MeroxIO for a $2 K Shopify migration + SEO package and the experience was a nightmare from day one:
Vanishing act: Emails went unanswered for 7‑10 days at a time; I had to threaten a bank charge‑back—multiple times—just to get basic replies.
Unauthorized changes: They quietly installed a paid Shopify app without permission or notice; I only caught it by chance.
Cut‑corner fixes: Instead of proper redirects they pointed thousands of 404 URLs to the homepage (terrible for SEO) until I forced them to redo the work.
Blame shifting: A checkout bug caused by their own code was pushed onto the theme developer—who later proved the theme was fine.
Minimal refund: After weeks of chasing they offered a token $100 and called the job “finished.”
If I’d known how slow, uncommunicative and irresponsible this team is, I’d never have signed the contract. Save yourself the stress and choose a provider that answers emails, asks permission before billing apps, and actually delivers what you pay for.
