Terrible company- NO customer service whatsoever- Regret purchasing 100% - Never again

This company is a scam. They've been taking money from us (without my knowledge) for over a year, and they conveniently "can't find the subscription" to stop charging. For context, a doctor recommended their probiotic (and has since stopped), and Metagenics called me to set up my first order after which time I moved. I called and spoke with multiple of their CS reps who assured me I hadn't set up a subscription, which was no where to be found in their system, so I should set up a net new subscription. Multiple calls, no confirmation emails. A year later I find out they had in fact set up my billing on a subscription and had been charging my old card the whole time. I'm now a month-and-a-half into communications with their support team, and they still "can't find the subscription" but seem to have no problem continuing to charge my card despite multiple written notices that I do not authorize them charging me.

Even more sickening... they claim to be a women's health company, but in that whole time period I've been communicating with them, they wouldn't even escalate my ticket until I CC'd my husband into the email...

There are better products on the market and other companies with far better ethics.

Ordered online only to realize within minutes of ordering that the item I wanted was lumped together with other unneeded items. I emailed immediately to cancel the order as there was no way to do this online. Received an email 2-3 days later stating it was too late as the item shipped though when I researched there was no tracking info. She suggested I refuse the item upon delivery. Once it arrived, I did refuse it, emailed her with the tracking info back to them and requested my refund. Representative stated it would 3-4 WEEKS after receiving before I would get my refund. I continued emailing after item was received on their end only to be told refund was issued, but it was not. Had to dispute the charge through my credit card and after about 5 weeks they issued a refund. NEVER AGAIN would I deal with the company. Very sketchy service so I equate that with sketchy products, as well.

Metagenics Estrovera (Severe Paradoxical Effects) I wanted to share my experience with Metagenics Estrovera, as it has been a very difficult nine months. I took this supplement consistently, going through three bottles of the 90-capsule count. Instead of finding relief, my health deteriorated. My symptoms were the following: - Rapid heart rate: My resting and active heart rate increasingly became much faster. - Intense hot flashes: My hot flashes actually worsened and grew far more severe. - Hyper arousal: I felt trapped in a constant, dangerous state of fight-or-flight. I took these symptoms very seriously. I underwent a full medical workup, including thyroid tests, extensive blood work, and wearing a heart monitor. Everything came back normal, pointing directly back to the supplement. When I ran out of my last bottle, I felt so terrible that I decided not to replace it just to see what would happen. Within 24 hours of stopping, 90% of my symptoms completely disappeared. It appears that this product had a paradoxical effect on me, potentially doing the exact opposite when binding to receptors. Worsening symptoms or severe reactions are not clearly warned about on the packaging, which is incredibly frustrating. I tried to reach out to Metagenics customer service on three separate occasions to report these adverse events, but they refused to speak directly with consumers. I also recently learned that the company has changed hands, which might explain the breakdown in communication and customer care. I highly recommend being incredibly careful with this product. For those looking for alternative menopausal support, I have personally had a much better experience focusing on standard nutrition: a clean B-complex (like MegaFood), Vitamin D, Magnesium, and high-quality fish oil. metagenics should be listing these side effects, but they do not.

I buy Inner Health IBS support. This product has been an essential supplement in maintaining the health of my gut. Over the last few years the amount you get for what you pay for has reduced. Whilst it states and there are 30 capsules in the bottle it is sold in , the bottle is half full? It doesnt look very good when you are paying good money for this product. It looks like price gauging. Charging over a $1 a tablet seems alot.
Wonderful supplement but too expensive for what you get.

Extremely disappointing customer service. Despite being a loyal customer, they failed to verify my current address and continued sending my subscription to my old home, then asked me to collect it myself. This basic check has never been an issue with my other subscriptions. It’s unacceptable for a premium product to be backed by such low standards of customer service.

I ordered the wrong magnesium and realized it 5 minutes after I ordered it. I called and tried to cancel and was told the system would not allow them to cancel before shipping? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard! So they told me to receive the item and then ask for refund! I am still trying to get my refund!

I made a one time purchase and found out they locked me into a subscription, how deceptive!
They stole money from my account without my permission and sent me the same product over and over again!
And then they tell you that they will not refund you and to unsubscribe.
Then you spend 30 minutes trying to find the unsubscribe box.
A report will be made to the consumer ombudsman, this company should not be allowed to trade any more.

I’ve been in clinical practice for over 30 years, and over that time I’ve worked with many different supplement brands.

While Metagenics was once a brand I used regularly, I no longer recommend it. In my experience, there has been a noticeable change in the quality and consistency of their products compared to earlier years.

For this reason, I prefer to prescribe supplements from BioMedica. I find their formulations to be more reliable, with a strong focus on quality ingredients and consistent clinical outcomes.

My recommendations are always based on what I see working best for patients in practice.

Beware - you have to OPT OUT of a subscription rather than opt in !! Before I knew it , I was receiving regular shipments of a medication and couldn't work out why

A one off purchase and they lock you into a subs. I spent days trying to undo this subscription…….

I’m wake up this morning to find that the subscription is RENEWED and when you try to log on to their subscription page it doesn’t load…. Same as their number doesn’t ring….. same as their email bounces

0 Stars. As others have said I was automatically subscribed by their system to receive the same product again 1 month later. I never subscribed to this. Customer service told me I can't get a refund. I replied advising this is not acceptable as I didn't authorise this subscription and have not heard back from them. I can't believe they are still allowed to operate.

Metagenics customer service is ridiculous. I received notification of my upcoming subscription order, I chose the option supplied by Metagenics to SKIP it. Then I am charged and the order is shipped anyway.
I ask customer service to refund and cancel the order AS I CHOSE TO SKIP THIS MONTH and CS person didn't read my one sentence email, instead chose to berate me and accuse me of not using the warning notice to skip my order..

Be very careful when buying their product online. I bought a product online and one month later I received an email stating they were sending me another on my account which I wasn’t aware of.
Apparently when you purchase a product you are signing up to a monthly subscription in the small print. I rang to cancel and was told I had made an account by supplying my email address.
My intention was to purchase a one off product not buying a subscription.

Purchased an online multiple B vitamin
No warning about possible nerve damage from B6.
Rang the next day to cancel order.
Which had not left warehouse.
Consultants were quite hard to understand and not sure if they fully understood me at first. I was told they could not refund, then I was told I could get a refund only once I have received the product and would have to pay postage back to the company.. after much bargaining I was told they would cover the cost of postage, but an email was sent to me saying that I had to cover the cost of postage??.
Why not put a warning on your B6 products.
7 times I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, my request was totally ignored.
Will buy from a different company next time.

I accidentally ordered three of one of the supplements that I purchased. I tried contacting the company multiple times, but nobody ever responded to me. I left several emails with their customer service and never heard back from anybody so I got stuck paying for these extra products that I only got because of a confusing website.

This company is now owned by a private equity fund. It is so sad to see what was once a supplier of high-quality practitioner-only therapeutic products owned and staffed by people who cared, become a company of sales people with profit targets. The customer support and delivery service, which used to be so helpful seems to be the victim of sever cost cutting. I cannot recommend this brand to patients in good faith.

They use extremely sneaky tactics when you buy from them they automatically keep your details and keep charging you every month and keep sending you products unless you find the buy once only options just another greedy company

I applied for a practitioner account on their Facebook ad/page including a copy of my advanced naturopathy diploma, abn etc
After 2 weeks I hadn’t heard anything so I reapplied another 2 weeks nothing.
Rang them, answering machine left messages still nothing.
Rang again phone not answered professionally was unsure if I had the right number. Gave my business name etc goes to check & said “you don’t have a degree, so your application is automatically rejected “
So 6 years of study not good enough to dispense your products !!!Plus I’ve been a naturopath for over 15 years.
Ridiculous have never been treated so badly.
Will no longer use or recommend their products or company to anyone.
