I wanted to return an item

I wanted to return an item, but failed. I have sent a request, waited for a long time for return slip info. Never received. I called and left my info, asked if I can still return, they said yes, and they had more of my info like phone number and email to make sure they can reach me. Never heard from them. I still have the item with me and unable to return. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ONLINE.

Everybody knows that xiaomi is one of…

Everybody knows that xiaomi is one of the main competitors for apple, and i think thats great. I can see that they are improving and making their brand bigger around the world. They are even making cars now, it looks goood ngl. However, cheap phone models in xiaomi are good for one year, because after that they starting to be laggy. Idk why is that, but im not the only one who noticed that ~_~

it's false !
not every mobile goes with discount when you come to payment.

⛔ NEVER EVER AGAIN IN THIS LIFE OR THE NEXT❗❗❗

Ordered what was promoted and advertised as a discounted bundle...

I had a painfully upsetting, time consuming and stressful experience at the hands of this online billion dollar/pound cartel!!!

Clearly, their online ordering process, and Mi.com (Xiaomi) as a entity is very clever and overly detailed as are their T&C's for one obvious reason; even their returns process stalls and drags it's feet to cause customers to exhaust the 14 day returns window.

And it's all to load everything in their favour, increase sales volume and make customers fully accountable for every step of the buying process.

And if things should go wrong, or an honest error is made even by a partially sighted date sable vulnerable customer ...that customer is abandoned.

Their overseas India or wherever call staff agents will sound and pretend to be sympathetic, friendly and helpful ..but is all a big corporate sham owned and run by Xiaomi and China, who simply care only about selling selling selling and being a monopoly.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO NEAR MI.COM (XIAOMI) 😡

Xiaomi Redmi phones

Xiaomi Redmi phones have such a messed up Android... That HyperOS crap they put in it has the worst memory management I've ever seen, and I'm a Software Engineer! It looks literally like everything is always on an urge to throw away used RAM!
If you have to use stuff like Google Authenticator for 2FA and you need to step out of your app for like 5s, when you get back, the memory is gone and here we go again from the start!
Sometimes it releases the memory even when the app is minimized by accident... When you pull it back up, it's gone!
Setting battery saving to "unrestricted" or using Performance mode doesn't make a noticeable difference either!
That thing is barely usable, and you should stay away from it until they fix it!

I’ve used over 7 Xiaomi devices—mid, high, and low-end. Lately, in the last 2 years, we’ve been shifting to POCO over Redmi because it feels more worth the money. Xiaomi is good, but some models don’t feel as valuable anymore.

Unresolved Issue/ Customer service doesn't exist

I ordered the Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photography Kit on 04/03/2025, but due to a technical issue, some of the items were removed from my order while I was in the process of paying. After I noticed this on my invoice, I immediately escalated the issue, but despite my efforts, the order was not suspended or corrected.

If I had known that the photography kits were not included, I would not have purchased the phones in the first place. I spent over £2,000, and yet Xiaomi completely ignored my complaint. I was offered a £5 coupon as compensation, which is completely unacceptable for such a major issue. Even after spending three days on live chat with customer support, my issue remains unresolved. I have now received the incomplete order without the photography kit, and no proper solution has been offered.

This is extremely disappointing and frustrating. I expected better service from a company like Xiaomi, especially after trying to resolve this issue for over a week. I strongly advise potential buyers to be cautious when ordering from Xiaomi.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Products don’t work well and when you want to fix them they don’t help you at all. It’s better to spend a little more to get better quality and better customer service. I will not be purchasing anything from this company again.

English not a first language

English not a first language, but I hope you'll understand, so:
You feel restricted when you use this phone with miui operating system- you cannot do anything in the background- this xiaomi system agresively shuts down any program running in the background, so you cannot listen to the music or podcast with this phone, even with Brave browser setting which lets you to listen in the background, it still gets overidden by miui system. Very agresive power plan- tries to save battery life no matter what, even in the cost of user expierence. No freedom of use with this phone, only mindless restrictions. Xiaomi is very bad phone, don't buy it.

My worst experience with Xiaomi

Xiaomi Phone User Experience: A Shift in Preference
Past Positive Experience with Xiaomi
* Xiaomi was my favorite brand for mobile phones
* I have always recommended my friends and family to buy Xiaomi as they offer such good hardware at decent prices, until recently.
Redmi Note 13 Issues
* My sister purchased a Redmi Note 13; the price of the phone was about 58k Rs. at the time of purchase.
* After using it for four months, I checked the device quality—it is so bad for a mid-range phone, and the UI is still buggy.
* The battery drain is still there; I don't know how they are not able to fix it, even after updating the UI to HyperOS 2.0.

Redmi Note 9S & Mi 11 Problems and Abandonment of Xiaomi

* Now, I have left Xiaomi because of their buggy UI.
* I experienced so much battery drain on my Redmi Note 9S that I started using battery-saving mode on the new device.
* I thought my phone was faulty, so I went to the seller and exchanged it, but the issue remained.
* After a month, my brother purchased the same device, Redmi Note 9S, thinking there would be no issue, but he was wrong.
* After using it for months, the phone was doing random restarts.
* Sometimes the screen starts to act wierdly like apps opening themselves and wierd glitches but those glichtes were easy to solve like press power button and get phone to the lockscreen and open it again and boom the glitch is gone. I tried factory reset manytimes and resinstalling the MIUI (MemeUi for me) but all in vain.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Experience and it was disaster.
*I also tried Xiaomi's flagship the Xiaomi Mi11 for a month and it was disaster, the Snap Dragon 888 was horrible and in Xiaomi's hands it was a disaster the phone was, i mean come on man, you can expect the flagship to run good right ?
but hey its the Xiaomi flaghship it was the worst phone i ever used the daily life tasks were okay but the battery drain was there too if you are thinking i am just spinning stuff then search reddit and Xiaomi's official forums its full of their phone's issues.

Troubleshooting Software Issue
* I know a lot about software, so I checked everything in the settings to see which settings triggers what, but it is the damn OS. Whole MIUI and HyperOS both are buggy af.
One UI Preference
* However, I am using a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra now, and the One UI is far better than Xiaomi's MIUI or HyperOS.
* I will be in the Samsung's ecosystem from now on.

HyperOS bugy bugy bugy. No more Xiaomi.

I have used several Xiaomi phones in the past. In general they were not bad. But I needed a new phone, bought a Poco X6 Pro 5G. I bought the phone in october. The new phones are all delivered with HyperOS, an attemp from Xiaomi to launch their own OS. It contains a lot of serious bugs on which Xiaomi does not act. For instance a not working Android Auto app. First reported (by others) march 2024. Almost a year later still no solution. But also when you open a link you must everytime select to open it with Chrome or Chrome. I have been very patient, not trowing the phone out of the window. Xiaomi stated on their webpage that a new HyperOS 2 version will rollout in November 2024. It is now 23-02-2025 and still no HyperOS 2 or a solution for the bugs on the X6 Pro. I am considering to buy another phone since this is rubbish. And no the new phone will definitly not be from Xiaomi.

Xiaomi Official Support: Incompetent, Misleading, and Untrustworthy

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Xiaomi's official support in Thailand, from the moment I inquired about a product to the painful refund process.

1️⃣ Misinformation Before Purchase
Before placing my order, I contacted Xiaomi's official Thailand customer support via online chat to clarify important product details. The agents provided wrong information, which directly influenced my purchase decision. Later, I found out that what they told me was completely incorrect, and as a result, I had to cancel my order.

2️⃣ Endless Struggle for a Refund
Once I realized their false information had misled me, I immediately requested a refund. And this is where the real nightmare began:
❌ Lack of transparency – I had to chase them for updates repeatedly, only to get vague, generic responses.
❌ Misleading & contradictory information – Every time I asked for refund details, they gave different, inconsistent answers.
❌ No proof of refund processing – Even when they updated my account to show the refund status, they refused to provide any actual proof that the money was being returned.
❌ Avoidance & refusal to escalate – When I saw their incompetence, I repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor or a responsible person, but my request was ignored every time.

3️⃣ Unprofessional & Unhelpful Support Agents
The support agents I dealt with (Namwarn and Milin) were completely unhelpful. Instead of answering my specific questions, they just kept apologizing and copy-pasting generic policy responses. When I pushed for real answers, they either ignored my request or repeated the same scripted replies.

Final Verdict: Never Trust Xiaomi Support!
Xiaomi might sell decent products, but their customer support is completely unreliable. You can never trust the information they provide, whether before or after your purchase. If you ever have an issue, be prepared to waste hours dealing with scripted responses, misinformation, and a total lack of accountability.

🚨 When a company can't even provide accurate product details before a purchase or a transparent refund process, how can anyone trust them? 🚨
