I got a Miele and paid way more than…

I got a Miele and paid way more than for an ordinary vacuum because of the out dated perception that Miele will last you a long time and have great customer support. Just a few weeks into using my vacuum a button broke. When I contacted customer service they got back to me and asked my to fill in a form. Now over a month later they still haven’t gotten back to me. I’ve emailed multiple times and sent in more than one ticket but there is just silence. I deeply regret my purchase and will likely not get a Miele product again and recommend everyone else to stay away.

Miele vacuum died in 2 years

Miele vacuum failed after 2 years due to internal pressure defect. Dust exploded inside the machine making it unusable. Customer service isn't there to support you unless you want to buy a new one.

Helpless.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would.

Purchased a Miele vacuum cleaner in the summer and within a couple of months it was faulty. I booked it in for a warranty repair, which was duly completed. I then received an invoice for £125. When I challenged this I was told that I had caused the fault. Apparently I had not changed the filters (even though I had). However they went ahead with the repair without checking that I was ok with the repair charge.

When I complained I was told I should have checked the t&cs on Miele’s website before booking the repair. The page with the charges is ‘page not found’ so this would have been impossible.

Despite the quality of the products I would NEVER buy from Miele again and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid them. The products are good quality, but extremely expensive and the customer service is atrocious. All the recent 1 star reviews here do not surprise me. Awful, awful, awful company.

Miele washing up machines…

Bought two G5223SC washing up machines via John Lewis in July 2021 and February 2022, and one stopped working in March, the other this month. Very light use. £560 to look at them, no guarantee of mending.

What a great shame. Used to be a marvellous company.

Appalling

I booked an engineer visit for 22/01/24, took the day off work to be at home for the engineer, recieved a text at 8:21 that morning to say the engineer wouldn’t be able to attend, complete waste of a day that I could have been working and earning money (I can send you the bill Miele). My phone then broke the next day so I was without a contact number. Any Miele emails to me go straight in to junk. Unbeknownst to me, Miele went ahead and booked another visit for an engineer to attend my property on 3/2/24 (a day which I was not at home) and despite receiving no confirmation from me whatsoever about this appointment then apparently turned up at my property (unable to gain access because, you know, I was away and never booked the appointment) and then sent me the bill (£170) for not being there for the engineer! I’ve emailed back and fourth with multiple Miele employees explaining the situation expecting that of course due to the circumstances and the fact that I DID NOT BOOK THE APPOINTMENT that Miele would apologise for the mix up and retract the invoice. But no, they have instead sent a letter demanding payment for the visit. Absolutely appalling customer service. Awfully overpriced and faulty products I will be steering well clear of Miele in future and won’t touch their products with a barge pole!

Poor service, awful customer service - AVOID Miele

Purchased a Miele hoover, which has not only scratched our floors but it has also scuffed our leather sofa with the brush tool as it does not stay into place therefore the sofa comes in contact with the plastic with a quick jerk reaction, unabling us to do anything about it as it’s too late.

I have advised I do not want a refund; I do not want this machine repaired (why would I trust this model) I would like a replacement of a different model, any model but I do not trust this model to be in my house.
Why would you use a product that’s known to scratch, damage floors & also leave visible scruff marks on the leather sofa?

Customer solution team have been appalling, mis information, rude, giving inaccurate information, not helpful, very scripted.

Absolutely poor, I have tried to do everything to resolve before resorting to leave this review for a hoover that’s cost £490, that hasn’t been used these last 4 weeks due to this problem. Leaving us without a hoover & a resolution. We’ve had to use a normal broom & will be out of pocket as will have to purchase a new reliable hoover that does not damage your house!

Awful service, very robotic, no human touch disappointed, almost been called a liar too, very upsetting from a well-known pricey brand.

I don’t expect anything by leaving this review, as you can see from the previous negative reviews, nothing gets done, however avoid MIELE at all costs, if something goes wrong, or you need help, you’ve got no chance. Poor & awful, I am so upset by this, didn't even try to help!
Have escalated & still refuse to assist, advised they want to look at it to repair it! Even if it is repaired, I have no trust in this model now, you can even send me a brand new one I will still refuse that, I would like a replacement different hoover, one that does not damage floors!

Degradation in the quality of Miele

We have always trusted Miele for high quality and long life. In 2018 we bought a G6630 dishwasher and expected it to last longer than the average machines. Turned out not to be the case, it is now completley dead, and the service technician (from an authorized Miele service partner) we ordered to diagnose the error informed us both pump and electronics had to be replaced. And that for a repair cost higher than our purchase price for the machine being brand new... The machine is less than five years old.
We take care of things we buy and folllow the manuals.
Being in Sweden, we contacted Miele through their site and asked for an explanation, but no answer so far.
I can only see this as a degradation in quality, on all planes apparently. So no more Miele for us.

Miele does not uphold their quality statement.

Terrible service and quality of my dryer. 2 years and 1 month old (warranty expired) and the drive belt breaks, Miele charges me 2000 SEK for 10 min job of the service technician to repair with a new belt. Told me it was user error (had dried 2 pair of children’s shoes). My Miele washing machine even has a shoes wash program. On top of this, it Took two weeks for the service technician to even arrive to fix the machine. Now clear that Miele is not a quality product.

Do not buy Miele dish washer. Terrible service

I bought a new dish washer.
Technical error F78 after ECO program.
Only this error.
So far no real service at all from Miele.se.
Impossible to get satisfactory service people for a visit.
If this is not solved I have to return the machine.
