I was burgled and needed a new Lock...

I was burgled in April and needed a 24/7 locksmith so I contacted this site and got a locksmith dispatched. I appreciated there would be call out fee for out of hours and it was the Easter weekend, but I was massively overcharged for a £10 lock... in no fit state to really argue as i just wanted the house secure.

On top of that, the lock jammed within a week of being fitted and had to get another lock smith to come and sort the issue. The lock wasn't faulty, it had just been badly fitted and mis-aligned.

Would never use this business again.

Booked appointment in February

Booked appointment in February. Engineer didn't turn up. I decided to get another firm to do the work. Rang asking for a refund. Was told it'd happen in a few days. Six weeks later the money still hadn't been refunded. Chased them up today (mid April) and was told "it must have got missed off the system". It'll be refunded towards the end of next week.

It may not be a scam, but if it isn't it looks very like one.

These people have no intention of providing a service

Also trade as Extreme Locks

Do Not Even Consider These People

This is my first time writing a review but I do not want these people to take another person's money for a job they have no intention of completing.

I asked this "lock smith" to get me a new key for a old car I have for which I lost the key, this was nearly 3 months ago. As I do not intend in driving the car I was not following up as I should have been. I rang at least weekly for the first while. I was promised on the 7th of March that a locksmith would be coming. I was then told on the 8th that he would arrive on the 9th. On the 11th I was told next day which was a Monday. I made it clear I needed it for Friday to get the car back to Ireland. The car has now missed the boat.

Most of the time you call the person is on their first day. They simply turn off phones when they don't want to talk to you. They also change their pricing I was told a £50 deposit plus £100 on arrival. I was then being told it is £150 on arrival meaning it was £200. Giving them a final chance I was told 8 pm. Again no arrival. I have been promised my deposit I am interested to see if it is yet another empty promise. Look through the reviews the past few are 5 stars all the old ones are the lowest possible. One of the green ones matched one of the names of the people I spoke to.

Fraudsters!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

When I contacted this firm they were advertising that they are locksmiths, but I was looking for an auto electrician. They came up in that google search as well.
They only have a mobile number on their website 07970 774 488 and when I contacted them they said they could get someone out immediately. They raised my suspicions so I said, no, please send someone the following day just so they have no excuse for someone not to turn up.

Low and behold, the 10 o'clock appointment time came and went and no-one arrived. I called them to say where was the electrician and was told I would be called back within ten minutes (by a woman who sounded like she was doing the washing up with screaming kids in the background).
She didn't call back so I have to call her only to be fobbed off with "hasn't the engineer contacted you? he is delayed on a job but is on his way" This was at 13:30
I informed her that the appointment was at 10:00 therefore she should cancel and refund the £50.00 she had taken from my card.

at 22:00 that evening, I received a text message to my landline which was sent at 11:00 advising that the engineer could not attend and they would rebook!!!

It is clear that this company is fraudulently taking more with absolutely no intention of carrying out the services they purport to offer!

I am waiting to see if the £50.00 deposit is actually returned to my card, but just as a precaution, I have contacted my credit card operator to raise a claim back!
