My partner and I, plus our golden retriever, hired 'Lily' and had a great experience from start to end.
Booking the van was easy and Stuart answered any questions we had. We were able to leave our car on the drive whilst we hired the van.
The van itself was well equipped with everything we needed, it was clean, and easy to drive.
We were able to camp off grid, with the combination of solar panel and driving being enough to charge the leisure battery for the fridge, lights and water pump (tap) for an evening.
A stand-out feature is the personal nature of the company, well-run by Stuart and Kevin. We were provided with contact details, breakdown info and everything we'd need, plus tips on driving routes and things to see, as well as a couple of beers in the fridge to start off our holiday.
Overall, couldn't fault anything and would highly recommend.

3rd time hiring from this great family run business. Vans are always well equipped, clean, well stocked and maintained. Can't recommend them enough, looking to book my 4th trip for next year. Keep it up guys. 👍

We have just returned from 4 days down in Dumfries & Galloway . Lily ( campervan ) was amazing . Loved the size of her , loved the cooker , the fridge and all the wee nooks and crannies that you find . Daisy our dog soon settled in to van life . Will definitely book with Miles Away Campers again

Just recently returned from a music festival with “lily” . An excellent camper van with high spec for a 5 day off grid experience . 2 nd time we ve used miles away campers and I can t recommend them highly enough . Professional from start to finish with personal touches added for a truly unique experience . We would definitely use again 👍

Just back from a trip up the east coast using Lily (as it’s dog friendly and I had my wee dog Ringo with me). Brilliant van to drive and very modern fit out inside with everything you need to make for a really comfortable stay. Kevin and his dad are absolute gents and the handover of the van was smooth with everything well explained to get you going. Brilliant company and great value for money. Will definitely use them again for another trip.

Looking to hire a camper for my son and myself to go to the British Grand prix and found Miles Away Campers right on my doorstep, we went round and met Stewart who showed us a camper and what we would expect, we came home and went on line and booked, so easy to deal with and counting the days until our trip.

We had a fantastic time, Stuart was super helpful and accommodating! The van was perfect for a trip through the country, couldn't ask for a better option! If we go back we'll definitely rent from them again.

My son absolutely loved the van, especially having his own little space in the roof tent. It made our holiday even more special. Highly recommend!

Booking was super easy, the owner was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable on how to use the van facilities. You could tell how passionate he was with his vans and business and I loved the small business element and care he puts in.

The van was equipped with everything we needed and more for our trip, finished with extra touches such as camping chairs, cocktails (great touch) and much much more! The van felt really safe to drive, clean inside and with fresh bedding.

Such reasonable prices and by far the best camper to use for a trip. They even let us add an additional day on so we could extend our trip! So glad we found you and can’t wait to book again next year.

My family and I have been keen to hire a campervan for a few years and get out and see more of Scotland and we came across a review for Miles Away Campers which set the wheels in motion.

They are a family run business based in East Kilbride, their knowledge and passion for what they do, is contagious and after our hire we left thinking about when we can hire from them again.

We hired Clover for 5 days for 2 adults and 8 year old daughter. The website is great and provides a lot of information in advance, they communication was also excellent and they were really happy to answer any of our additional questions.

The pricing is really clear and transparent with no hidden extras and no premiums for peak summer months, I found it to be the most reasonable company by far for that time of year (July - Scottish school holidays). Also no limitations on mileage, another huge plus.

The campervan itself was perfect, we really fell in love with it. It was a great size for manoeuvring the single track roads and had some decent power. It was comfortable, really well equipped with everything you might need for a trip, and can fit a surprising amount of stuff if you’re an overpacker.

The equipment including was really considered, with a kettle, plates/bowls/cutlery, lighter/lanterns/camper chairs etc and a lovely wee welcome pack. The bedding was also really nice, I camp a lot so used to sleeping bags and loved having a cosy duvet and proper pillow. My daughter also loved sleeping up in the roof and rated it 10/10, she slept really well from the first night.

We stayed at campsites with electric hook up but there is also a battery that allows you to go off grid.

Overall, I couldn’t recommend Miles Away Campers highly enough and we will definitely hire again. It genuinely felt like we hired from people that cared about our experience and that care about people in general.

Absolute 10/10 for these guys. We wanted to book a camper to go round the Scottish Highlands for months however everywhere was fully booked or extremely expensive. When we found these guys they were A, so much cheaper with absolutely no hidden costs and B, the camper was top notch.

If this is your first time driving a camper they run you through everything + give a manual just incase.

Unlimited miles, stocked up food and only a WhatsApp message to contact them for any help or advice on the van.

This is a family run business so makes everything so much more personable, you won’t regret booking with them and have recommended them to friends and family.

Wonderfull, reactive and attentive people. Kevin and Stuart provided more than what we needed for our 3 week trip around Scotland. An unforgettable experience!

We hired blossom camper van for 5 days to tour Scotland and see the beautiful sites. We had our 2 children and our puppy with us. Stuart and Margaret were so helpful from the minute we enquired and all the way through our stay. Couldn’t recommend them enough. The motor home was spotless when when got it, also comes with everything you would need for a week away. Fully detailed video on how to use everything.
Best in the business we can’t wait to start planning our next adventure with miles away campers.

Simple & straightforward, the way I like it.

I’ve tried the rest and now found the best no chargeable extras and very reasonably priced Stuart and Kevin explained everything regarding Blossom on pick up and the attention to detail on the interior bedding etc was fantastic we had a wonderful hassle free trip round the NC500 and and will be hiring again and would recommend them to my friends they are not only Miles Away they are also Miles Ahead

What a great weekend away in the lakes with Iris! The service was amazing from the minute we booked and can't praise the team enough.
Iris drove like a dream on some difficult roads and she came with all the extras to enjoy every situation.

From start to finish, Miles Away Campers have been amazing! Kevin and Stuart answered every question that we had. You can tell that they are both very passionate about the industry.

We hired out their new motorhome Blossom and what a beauty she was! The interior was gorgeous and finished to a very high standard. Very reliable vehicle for a long road trip. They provided everything you needed for being on the road (camping chairs, camping stove, bedding on each bed, kettle, kitchen essentials etc) the list goes on! These extras are on top of a fully functioning kitchen and bathroom that you have in the van! The little extras such as WiFi, dvds & fire stick for the TV etc were also just brilliant.

We searched just about every company around Scotland and Miles Away Campers were the highest rated and if you book with them, you will not be disappointed.
