Ryan Bannon (Partner) and Emma Liddle…

Ryan Bannon (Partner) and Emma Liddle (Solicitor) made numerous mistakes when acting as a conveyancer for a new build property we purchased from a small developer in 2016. They failed to check the documentation for a buildings warranty at the time of the transaction which subsequently delayed the purchase. Now in 2020 when we come to sell the property, it is clear that failed to obtain SAP calculations, which now mean it is not straightforward to sell the property or create EPC details. They were recommend to us by Bailey and Co Estate agents, but I would not recommend.

Charged £28,000 to collect a £9,000 debt!!!!!!!

I engaged the company to collect a personal debt of approx £9,000. They actually ended up charging £28,000 to collect the debt. We won in court. Despite being told I should receive approx 75% of my costs, I was not awarded any costs.

The bottom line is there is no point going to court to collect debt. The only people who win are the solicitors. And there is certainly no point using Mincoffs their costs are totally out of proportion.

I would not recommend this firm

I would not recommend this firm. We are currently using them for our conveyancing and Debbie Worrell is dealing with this. We were told by the estate agents that there was no reason completion could not take place by the end of September. This was accurate. However, what the estate agents did not account for was that Debbie was going on holiday for 2 weeks and whilst she was away nothing at all was done on the file until she returned. Completion has therefore been set back due to the fact nobody could be bothered to work on the file while she was away and therefore things only got actioned when she returned.

I contacted Debbie and despite me setting out at the beginning of the call that I was not the client (as this is my partner's house), she continued to speak to me about the file and then 5 minutes into the conversation when she realized I was not the client she advised she could not discuss this with me. I find it quite appalling for a professional firm not to carry out data protection at the outset of the call. My partner had in fact already emailed giving authority for her to discuss the claim with me but she made it clear she had not seen this.

When I spoke to Debbie I found her extremely rude, she spoke over me constantly and then when I advised her I would be making a complaint she advised me to 'go ahead' and stated she had to end the call as she had 'things to do'. Again, I did not find this professional whatsoever.

I would not recommend and would not use them again.
