Don’t waste your money!
I must have missed the overall cost entirely during the sales pitch🥲 The medication did nothing during my first two sessions😡 I could have taken sugar pills for all I know. What a waste of money. I should have stuck with Spravato, which insurance covers. My recommendation is to skip this overpriced ALL HYPE NO SUBSTANCE but a big bill🥱
Response to Mindbloom:
Alex, I can appreciate your intent to provide a comprehensive response that aims to convince the masses that Mindbloom has added value. While I don't deny the program has built-in concepts that most likely add value to people's mental health recovery, my discontent was more specifically with the business model followed for those who choose to discontinue.
Yes, I am entirely aware of the inability to take back unused medication. However, I am pretty sure your profit margin after the assessment and intro session is acceptable without trying to get a few more dollars out of those in crisis. If you lose a few dollars at that point, then I would expect you to respect the decision of those in crisis and wish them the best in their searches for relief. If there are more than a few here and there, then I guess your product isn't what it should be. Sometimes, as leaders of organizations, we need to accept the loss or forgo the profit for the good of the cause. It would seem that 'doing the right thing' is not a cultural norm within Mindbloom.

Overall good experience, not great delivery process
Leaving this review as a whole view of Mindbloom as a medicinal provider as well as a tech service and business.
The medicine is great. If you’re interested in psychedelics as a form of therapy, I would highly recommend it. There are now many places you can get ketamine and other psychedelics. Some are cheaper than Mindbloom, some are more. I would not recommend being cheap - go for something legit like Mindbloom. Their medicine is reliable, quality, and prescribed safely. I really enjoyed the product itself.
The consultation with a doctor is more of a checked box. I’m my experience, it lasts about 1 minute and involved a few basic questions with no real personal touch or interest in anything that might be going on with you. It’s just a formality. It’s also a 1-minute formality that Mindbloom will charge you $150 for if you aren’t satisfied with their service and you try to cancel your treatment.
The check ins with a “guide” are much more thorough and sincere. This person is generally someone who cares about plant medicine and really helps you to understand your experience and set the right course to get the best out of the treatment.
The same goes for the integration circles. It’s basically like free group therapy sessions that are included through the app when you’re in a treatment course. This is something that’s very valuable in talking out your experience and helping the lessons learned take hold. It’s also something that you’d pay good money for or need a good health insurance plan to have access to.
I would also apply that praise to the app itself. While you’re in treatment (and even after your done some features are still available via app) you have some really well thought out and helpful tools in the app to make the experience a lot more effective than just a regular psychedelic experience.
Overall, the therapeutic effects of the treatment are going to be as good as what you yourself put into it. Some of the staff and features are wonderful. But you can’t just do the trips and then go about your business. You have to journal, schedule the integration circles, and do a lot more work on your own so that the benefits take hold and improve your issues.
I am taking off one star because the shipping process the since time around to retrieve my medicine was problematic and involved over 3 weeks of back and forth with customer service, fruitless trips to FedEx, lack of information, and not enough done to make it right.
When you do your first order, make sure the pharmacy gives you tracking information or ask for an option to pick up in person.
Love this program
Love this program! it saved my life just wish insurance would pick it up!
Mindbloom has been life changing…
Mindbloom has been life changing in coping with my PTSD and anxiety symptoms. I've tried EMDR, talk therapy, somatic work and prescription meds to treat PTSD after a major traumatic life threatening experience that changed how I functioned in the world. This is the only course of treatment that is truly working for me. My guide and clinician have been super helpful through the entire process. While it's not covered by insurance, I've found it's money very well spent.
Mindbloom has saved my life
Diagnosed at an early age with depression and anxiety, I've tried what seems like every pill known to man and had years of therapy. At 42, after 11 ketamine treatments with Mindbloom, I am safely off all antidepressants and anxiety medication. I fell into alcoholism after my husband passed away and have been a heavy drinker for 11 years. I am now 30+ days sober! Mindbloom has helped me achieve my goals. I have overcome things I never imagined were possible! I do wish my insurance covered the medication, however it's worth twice the cost because it has saved my life.
Mindbloom and ketamine- game changers and sanity savers
I started Mindbloom about a month ago. Let me just start off by saying that I was at rock bottom and at a point where I just didn’t want to be around anyone. I got sick and tired of being sick and tired and needed something to change how I was living. I did some research and someone recommended psychedelics. I’ve always thought of psychedelics as something illegal and verboten. I knew about ketamine and my past experience administering it in the ED mainly to pediatric patients for urgent procedures. I decided to look into it further ABs read up on studies performed for anxiety and depression both of which I was primarily facing. I have always had these all my life to varying degrees and with some regularity every 2-3 yrs I would literally have a breakdown- either anxiety, depression, or a combo of both. My like has bed a regular hell where all I have been doing is treading water just to stay afloat and Somerset functioning but even that was not a very great job. Life was miserable and I could not see a reason to really continue. I read up on ketamine like I said, and heard that it has really positive outcomes. I looked at spravato, but your need to find somewhere that will take you for an appt not to mention once to do get in, your need to have someone drive you to and from appts that could be anywhere from 1-3x week. IV infusions are just as involved but need you to take off from work for each session and have someone done your not to mention this is almost never covered by insurance so the cost is high. Spravato may be covered by insurance at least. I read about multiple at home ketamine treatment sessions, and keep coming back to Mindbloom. They seemed to be priced well and have the best program on tend of what they offer to help you succeed. Your do have to pay out of pocket, but I think you can use FSA dollars if you ahead, and Mindbloom does split the payments so it’s a little easier to manage. All reviews for Mindbloom and other companies are all 50-50, so read thoroughly on each one and make an informed decision.
I was nervous and hesitant when I scheduled my consultation but it was well worth it in the end. I really did not know want to expect so I went into it with no expectations. Yes I was nervous but the clinician i picked Tyler, was awesome and put me at ease and walked me through the whole process. He even had some good suggestions for me to follow up on after the session.
I waited for my first dose of ketamine to come and scheduled my first session. Again did not know what to expect but the outcome was beyond my wildest imagination. The first session you meet with your guide who is your go to throughout all your sessions. My guide Ryn has also been an excellent resource and integral to my success in the program. On that note you can’t expect that the medicine is a magic pill or a quick fix for all your problems. You need to put in the work and effort to make this program work for you and in the end it’s worth it. Mindbloom has plenty of tools- from informative articles and videos, to 1:1 sessions with your guide.
From the first session my life has been totally changed ands transformed. I’ve read studies that say the effects of ketamine last anywhere from a few days to a few months. I’m not sure what exactly that means for me in the long term but I like to believe the change I have experienced is permanent! I do know this has worked better from day one than any antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication. It has worked better than years of therapy- this was like 10 years of therapy in 60 min. Again it’s not a cure all, but I feel like it takes everything you have ever learned for coping, and from therapy and amplifies it in a way that your mind/body can actually use. Until you experience it for yourself, you’re really can’t understand it and it’s hard to explain- it just works. Educate yourself on ketamine, talk to people who have done it, read reviews on Mindbloom and other companies that offer this. Make an informed decision. Don’t do this for anyone except yourself. You need to want to change, again the medicine doesn’t work unless you want it to and put in the effort. I’ve read reviews prior to starting Mindbloom, and the people who have negative reviews all felt like they wanted the pill to do everything without them actually doing anything. They talked about doing things Mindbloom specifically tells you’re not to do- what do you expect? It’s a prescribed medicine with specific instructions to follow. Not saying that some people may truly have had bad experiences or encountered not great staff- that happens anywhere you go- hospitals, doctors offices, retail stores.
If you are ready to change your life, this is a good way to start! I had nothing else to lose when I signed up and I’ll glad I did!
I wanted to try the ketamine treatment…
I wanted to try the ketamine treatment for my ptsd since nothing else worked and most medications made it worse. My very first date to start the therapy was canceled because the counselor I scheduled with was a no show. It was almost a month after receiving my first round of ketamine before I could use it because of the no show. I would not recommend this company not just because of the first bad experience but because I didn't feel it offered enough personal support ( without significant cost) for the price I was already paying. I found out that most major insurance companies will pay for this treatment but only in a controlled setting with nasal spray version ( which costs way less especially because insurance coverage) or intravenously and that is very inexpensive. Please do try your insurance first and or another more reliable company.
