Mindscreen is awesome!

It’s been an absolutely wonderful tool and resource to use for our school. The response we’ve had so far has been incredible. Mindscreen has had such an amazing effect on our young people and the reports generated have been lovingly received by families. So much so that other establishments are looking into adopting Mindscreen to aid them too. We have been great ambassadors for utilising Mindscreen in the way that we do. We LOVE it!

Mindscreen

We've really enjoyed working with Mindscreen this academic year. The support and training from Gav has been excellent and allowed us to use it effectively from the very start. As a teacher, the reports that are produced allow me to know what to do to support my students and to help them fulfil their potential. We're definitely very pleased that we invested in Mindscreen!

SEMH specialist secondary review

We are an SEMH specialist secondary setting and I came across Mindscreen when it was mentioned in one of my SENCO networking groups. I contacted Gav and we gained a set of accounts for a target group of our students. Having implemented it with a target group and been incredibly impressed by it, it is something I am looking at rolling out school-wide. The assessments are short and easy for children to access (in stages if they prefer) and generate incredibly accurate and comprehensive profiles. The sessions are easy for anyone to implement and I have been able to see, firsthand, how they improve student's self-awareness and self-esteem. I have led sessions myself that have sparked very insightful conversations with students and helped them to realise the functions of some of their behaviour and the impact that can have on themselves (most importantly) but also on others and the way they are perceived. Our students have grown as a result of Mindscreen and the reports have guided provision from all angles. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mindscreen to all children, regardless of SEMH need. It is just a wonderful system!

Mindscreen delivers so much more than expected!

I started this course with my 12-year-old hoping she'd feel more confident about her own talents and skills. What I didn't expect was how much useful insight I got into her as a person!

She started the programme slightly begrudgingly, but ended up really enjoying working her way through the modules. I literally watched her confidence and enthusiasm grow before my eyes, because - for the first time - she was taking time to really think about all the things she was good at.

It made her realise how many skills she actually possessed, which gave her self esteem a big boost. The careers module also gave her some really helpful, practical advice on how she could translate those skills and passions into different jobs, some of which she got really excited about.

But it also allowed me to see exactly what inspired and fired her up, so I can help guide and encourage her when it comes time to choose her elective school subjects.

It also helped me to see how she sees and processes information (as it's quite different to me) which is going to help me to communicate with her in a much more effective way.

We both got so much more out of the Mindscreen programme than I expected, and I'm really excited to see how she will apply all this new confidence and self-belief once the schools reopen.

Completed Mindscreen lessons boosted my boys' confidence!

The boys (8 and 10 years old) and I completed the full Mindscreen experience, which included 3 Mindscreen Experience profile completions, and 8 lesson plans.

The Mindscreen experience has been a huge eye-opener for me. I learned so much about my boys; what made them tick, what their skills were, and what issues they are facing at the moment that hadn't been addressed yet.

The Mindscreen experience is designed to provide you with a complete lesson plan which requires a level of commitment from the parent and child(ren), but the effort creates results which are invaluable.

Both boys had some self-esteem issues, but after completing the ME they have boosted their confidence and now understand the importance of working towards their future goals and ambitions.

I urge you to complete the ME with your child(ren) not only because it helps to boost their confidence, but it also provides them with valuable tools (like completing a CV, and selecting skills which suit chosen career options - to name a few). The outcome will help them stay happy long into adulthood!

Mindscreen Thoughts on Completion

The Mindscreen Programme is a series of tasks and activities designed to support children with issues such as low self-esteem and confidence. It is written in the form of lesson plans and worksheets and you are supported in order to work through the lessons with your child. I have completed the whole program with my son and I feel it was beneficial to him and helped him change the way he views himself and the world around him. The programme requires a level of commitment and organisation but I felt it was worth investing the time to see an improvement in my son's mental wellbeing. The skills he has learned will stay with him and we have kept all the printables and workbooks for future reference, should he need them, so I think it represents good value for money.

Great lessons

Very impressed so far with the lessons being really helpful not just for my son but actually for myself too to really work on improving self-esteem and thinking about why it is the way it is and how I think about myself and my son thinks about himself. Definitely a product we are loving as a family

Helping with self esteem and confidence

We are reviewing the course and have recently finished the first 4 lessons. My 9 year old son and I found the course very enlightening and are looking forward to completing the final lessons together.
These lessons will certainly help with self esteem and confidence both short and long term.

Mindscreen review from a teen mum

We used Mindscreen with our 13 and 15 year old children; a boy and a girl. We found it to be very insightful about their personalities, and actually helped us to explain their behaviour towards each other. They tend to argue, and after answering the initial assessment question, it was clear that this is because both of them are a little inflexible. Compromise isn't a word that comes easily to either of them. Strong willed very much is! 🤣

In addition to this, it was very helpful to them (and us) to see how their natural personality lent them to specific careers, and helped them to see how they might achieve success in life.

A valuable tool, both for those kids who are doing well, but most important, those that lack self confidence and self esteem.

What a fantastic resource to have for…

What a fantastic resource to have for both parents, carers and schools to access. This really is an insightful experience that I am in the process of completing with my child and it really is interesting to see the outcomes that come from my son's understanding of the world around him! Would recommend!

Brilliant

Brilliant! We have just completed the initial questionnaires and been through the supporting literature. So far I'm incredibly impressed. We are already having far better, in-depth conversations with our child. He is really enjoying the process and feels much more understood. We can't wait to start the lessons.

How to motivate a teenager...

I just wanted to say a big "thank you" to Mindscreen for giving me such accurate insights into my son, Cameron. I'd forgotten how difficult the teenage years can be especially with all the added challenges of the pandemic and the endless hours spent in a virtual world. I'd become used to his behaviour. The Mindscreen Experience report provided us with such a powerful understanding of how he thinks and communicates. And what truly makes him happy and motivated. He was stunned when he read it himself, and it's led to many reflective conversations. Right now, we're working through his learning plans and trying to fill some skills gaps. He starts back to school in 2 weeks and I don't think he's ever been more motivated. The report highlighted some of the career choices that may suit him and he's become really excited about that. (He wants to study Law) For the first time, he's started to really think about his future and how he can get to where he wants to be. My morose teenager has become a driven, cheerful and enthusiastic adolescent. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'd recommend the Mindscreen Experience to any parents or carers who has a teenager in the house!
Andrea (Mother of Cameron Aged 14)

Mindscreen Summary

Now more than ever, our children face challenges everyday that some find difficult or possible to deal with. We as adults may not recognise that our children are struggling to cope with these pressures and our child doesn't reach out to us for support. The Mindscreen programs are designed to assist us adults in identifying our child's emotional and mental state of mind and help us to help them through this if that is required. They also offer a free assesment. A wonderful tool to assist us adults do the best we can for our children.
