I've been using Mingus for a few months now. I got an early version and updated on every new realease, saw the progress. The graphics are much better now than when I first installed it, and they've been adding new features. I really like this software it's a very good idea and it clearly has potential for more (like more advanced backing track features). I use it almost everyday now (tenor sax player). Never contacted them, but they do seem to care for their product. No complaints.

Mingus Audio has a 5-Star idea, but a 1-Star execution of it. When I saw this practice software, I thought it would be excellent to have everything for a practice session together (pdfs, video links, sound files, loops, etc) and easily accessible. But, poor documentation and UI/UX that seems it was created by AI was unusable. Further, when I contacted support to learn how to use their Selection Tool on my MAC, instead of provide guidance, they asked why I was trying to make a selection!!! When I told them because their '#' tool had said I had to first make a selection, they continued to dodge my question asking what I was trying to do, when I already told them. Clearly they don't speak English. After three attempts, at communicating, I accepted their offer of a Refund, as they still had not answered a basic question, that their own help doesn't address except to say push Command. I should know better when a web site provides no actual location or contact info. Maybe it works better on Windows, IDK, but definitely not a MAC-like app. Stupid UX stuff like a dialog telling you you added a file, and making you push Okay. Must be their first app ever. If they had responded intelligently, I would have been forgiving, hoping they would improve it over time.
