I am too angry to write in Danish

I am too angry to write in Danish, my second language. I now live in England, my danish pension is paid into Danish bank. I have been tring to get mit id for months, I have made many long and expensive phone calls to Denmark and nobody is able to help. Now, I have to go to Denmark and visit borgeservis. It has been impossible to phone and make an appointment. Now, a friend in DK will get me an appointment. What a mess this "system" is!!

No access to bank!

Had to get a new phone when outside of Danmark and now I don't have access to my bank because the passport scan thing doesn't work for me. This is an essential service and it really cannot be functioning this poorly. Also, MitID service has not been great and the staff seem very tech inept

Racist app

Racist app. If you are not from Denmark and you want to reactivate Mit ID on your new phone you have to go again to Borger

When you’re not a Danish citizen and…

When you’re not a Danish citizen and don’t have a Danish passport you have to meet up at Borger Service physically to get an activation code for the app. It is two weeks waiting time for the first available time, and I can’t access my bank account or anything. Finally when I’m at Borger Service the waiting time is 45 min from the time you have your booking. It’s very stressful when you have taken time off from work just to get an activation code. When a normal Dane just can get it in 10 sec from the app, without any problem. Very frustrating, and feels super unmodernised.

What a nightmare is right!!

What a nightmare is right!!! This MitID app is useless.
I live in the US and am trying to set up MitID using my Danish passport. Every time I get to "read the chip" I get a red exclamation point with an error message. One time it actually read the chip successfully - only to fail in the facial recognition part. Just tells me to start over. My husband tried too. Same result.
And no we cannot just book an appointment with Borgerservice. Seriously, digitaliseringsstyrelsen should be able to do much better than this! Very disappointed.

Using mitid as a foreigner in Denmark is a nightmare!!!

The login doesn't work, perhaps due to wrong password, but the system won't say and it is not possible to reset the password unless I go to borgerservice. Next available appointment is in 3 weeks!!! Not to mention having to take time off work to go there. Total mess and really regretting switching to mitid instead of extending access with nemid, as I cannot pay my bills right now.

Sh*tiest invention from Denmark ever

Sh*tiest invention from Denmark ever, ever! Especially for foreigner. Troublesome to get, troublesome to switch, activation code can only get from Citizen Service with a booking (ofc)... Can't believe it can be rolled out with such stup*d app, NemID was simply working very well already.

Indirect racism …

I’ve never experienced such a silence racism like Danish authorities. First it was driving license as an app but then if you don’t have a Danish passport you’re not allowed to upload your driving license. Mind you all were charged if not more the exact same amount as Danish citizens went through the same headache to get the licence. Now it’s MitID. If you’re not a Danish citizen then forget it. Danish authorities are so racist, make life a living hell for foreigners and yet foreigners are the most in work forces, they pay thousands of kroner to file for their stable stay in the country and yet the country doesn’t give an F. They send resources to Ukraine to help them but Somalians and Syria citizens are not allowed to be traumatized. RACISM

If you as a foreigner in Denmark

If you as a foreigner in Denmark, that have Mitid and then decide to buy a new phone, and have MItid again, be ready to go to Borgerservice igen! This is the worst service in my life! Those who invented Mitid should be punished!

To all foreigners that live in Denmark, download your yellow card through app

The system is friendly for Danes, because you can activate your MitID with a Danish passport.

But as a foreigner, you cannot.

I made an id, but somehow it was asking a password. Which I never activate it. On the MitID website it says please contact your bank for a temporary password. The bank forwarded me and ask to activate the MitID with a passport. But I am not Danish! I cannot activate at all. All I need is fast as possible to activate my MitID. So they redirected me to MitID website. I told them I called them, send them an email, but they just say to activate with passport but they don’t understand I cannot because I am not Danish!
In the website and the bank website says you can get a temporary password, but they don’t give… so what I had to do is making an appointment with city hall. But to make an appointment it takes 3 weeks!!!

So I took it for granted and just wait patiently, 3 weeks.

When I was at the city hall, I had my passport with me. Looking forward to activate my MitID.

But they needed my yellow card, so I had to bike all the way back to my home to bring the yellow card. So bringing your foreign passport is not valid?

And then I had to wait til everyone got helped in the city hall. I waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

And then the person that helped me said at the end: did you know you can have your yellow card on your app and activate with your nemid?

My reaction: 😑
