I'm doing my Christmas cards...Mixbook…

I'm doing my Christmas cards...Mixbook has a relatively nice address database, but when I go to order printed envelopes, it uses a legacy combined list of names, rather than the list I most recently edited. This is a feature that needs to be fixed.

Awful Customer Service

Bought a book for my daughter’s 18th birthday. Firstly the free video book they email arrived with incorrect details. Next the actual book arrived damaged so they promised a second book. Having given the book as a gift we noticed that photos were missing and cropping and layout was not as I had submitted. They promised the second book again but still waiting

Nature photography calendars

I submitted 14 nature pictures to make a calendar, front, cover + 12 months. The files I submitted were high quality/professional. Unfortunately the quality of the calendars (I ordered 7) was very disappointing: all pictures look faded, washed out :(
I spent one hour in a chat room explaining the issue in detail. "John" had me send 3 files (where the issue was the most obvious) and also 3 pictures (of the calendar) of the same files and he agreed with me that Mixbook work quality was poor.
He offered to send me 7 calendars (that was the amount of my initial order).
I received that second batch but somehow, if some pictures turned out better, others lost their saturation in the process.
It's now the end of November, time is running out and I will have to give these calendars the way they are, but I'm not happy with the whole process.

Frustrating experience

I have made a number of mixbooks in the past with relative ease. However I just struggled thru completing a 100 page book & it was very painful & frustrating. I used the Mixbook app on a new apple iPad Pro vs a laptop used for previous books. I ran into difficulty & reached out to the chat help option 4 or five times which only added to the frustration as either they couldn’t provide a solution that worked or they suggested I try on another device. Will certainly explore other photo book options for future projects.
It is interesting to review the one star reviews (which would likely have been zero stars if that was an option). The number of negative reviews in the past 6-8 months is astonishing. Clearly Mixbook has lost its way at the expense of many long term clients.
Do yourself a favour & avoid Mixbook.

First Class

I created three different Christmas cards using my photos which arrived today - only four days after placing the order! I'm not very tech-y so had to engage with the Chat line a few times to complete the project. They were patient, helpful and engaging and I am absolutely thrilled with the result. Every step of the process with Mixbook is first class and I fully recommend them to everyone.

Ultimate photo project service

MixBook is a great service for making your next photo project. Their online editor studio is top-notch and so easy to use. There was an issue with the printing of my book (200+ pages!) and the support and customer service to get this resolved was second-to-none. Always a pleasure dealing with this company. Highly recommended.

If I could give them 0 I would

If I could give them 0 I would. I spent hours and hours making 9 photo books on the site - which to be fair was easy to use. I orders the first 2 to see the quality before ordering the rest. Delivery date was very long but I had time. They were then ‘lost’ as they couldn’t be delivered due to a typo they had made on the address (showing right my side). No apology, no attempt to make it right at all and just that they would reprint and it would be another 2 weeks. No assurance that the address issue was fixed, no discount at all. I now have to make all 9 books all over again on another site and I am beyond angry and annoyed! What a waste of time.

Don’t expect your printed album to look like what you’ve edited online

This is a disappointing review to write after being a loyal Mixbook customer for many years. Their editing platform is excellent, but the printing quality has consistently let me down. I have had to request multiple reprints of the same books because of clear and repeated printing issues. I was understanding at first because mistakes happen, but these problems have continued for years and it feels like there is little to no quality control in place.

The result has been a huge waste of my time, Mixbook’s time, and unnecessary use of materials and resources. I have had to discard several misprinted albums, which is incredibly frustrating and disheartening.

To make matters worse, their customer service often responds with pleasant-sounding but unhelpful messages that do not actually address or resolve the underlying issues. It has been an infuriating experience overall.

Mixbook, you’ve lost a loyal customer who’s spent £1000’s on albums and would have continued if you’d have sorted the issues and addressed them appropriately.

Anyone else reading - steer clear if you’re looking for a quality printed album. You’ll only be left disappointed when your product arrives and banging your head against the wall talking to customer service. They’re happy to re-print or refund… but not address the issue of the translation from their editing platform to a printed album!

If there was appropriate quality control, products would never arrive to a customer in such poor quality.

Easy to do, arrived early and is great quality

Web app is easy to use and flexible

Photo book arrived earlier than expected and is of high quality, with nice, glossy paper and the photos look great - even the one I was warned was a little low on resolution.

My wife likes her birthday present. Well done mixbook

Perfection! They KNOW what they are doing!

This review is long overdue. Our beautiful Golden Retriever passed away unexpectedly this past June. As heartbroken as we were, and still are, I wanted something special to remember him by always. I decided that I would like a hardcover tabletop book. I chose alot of our favorite photos, and captions to them. I ended up adding more pages and even with that, the price was excellent. The process was easy and smooth, and when I did run into a couple of "not so sures" I clicked "chat" and spoke with a HUMAN almost immediately! They had me link up with them, so that they could SEE exactly what I meant, and then walked me thru what I needed to change. Talk about PROFESSIONAL!. They ASSURED me that the book would turn out JUST AS I expected!. They were right, The book IS beautiful!!.. I had one little issue with the book, and customer service fixed the issue and SENT me ANOTHER book within a couple of days!! INCREDIBLE! We are SO happy with the book, It's perfect, but I still cry when I look thru it.. and probably always will. Guess that's a sign of perfection. The BONUS movie they link for you is a really special touch! I would not hesistate to use Mixbook again, It's rather addicting, I keep wanting to make more books!! ;)

WOW!

WOW! I had a great experience creating my book with the Mixbook's website/platform. I designed 50+ pages using Photoshop, saved images as JPEGs, then uploaded them to the site. I used a couple of the backgrounds but noticed I could create my own and upload them. All of it was very easy and went smoothly. I realized I had used the Mixbook site several years ago and I forgot.
After an incredibly frustrating time with Vista Print and their customer service...I searched for other options. Glad I re-discovered Mixbook.com. I will be designing 10+ books in the next few months and will only order from Mixbook.

Be aware of their reprinting process

I have been a loyal Mixbook customer for over 10 years, using them for my child’s kindergarten yearbooks, various photo books, and annual holiday cards. Until now, I have always been satisfied with their quality.

This year, however, I ordered holiday cards and ran into problems. My first set arrived off-centered, and the second reprint was only slightly better. In chat, I was repeatedly told the reprint would be processed immediately, but for the second set it clearly wasn’t. Mixbook also told me there’s no confirmation email for reprints—but the first reprint did have one. If they say there’s no confirmation email but the original order confirmation , it likely means your reprint hasn’t actually been processed. You’ll get a reprint confirmation email with original order number if the reprint is processed correctly. So please be aware.

Even after multiple follow-ups, I never received accurate tracking information either. The day before my deadline, I was still told the cards would arrive “tomorrow,” but no proof of shipment was provided. Mixbook even provided me a false tracking information apparently for another order in a different country! And of course, my second reprint never arrived!

For anyone ordering during the holiday season: start early, double-check confirmations, and be prepared to order elsewhere if timing is critical.

Just Okay and if there is a problem with their product, be prepared to provide them with clear evidence

Based on the overwhelming positive reviews of this product, I used it to create a couple of calendars as gifts for family. I found the software okay in comparison to others I have used in the past. I found it did lack some flexibility in making changes and was a bit clunky. I did use my laptop (which should have given me the best experience). In the past, I had used my phones with other companies and I know that had some limitations. Did not try to use my phone with Mixbook. This is also the most money I have paid for a product and I think it is okay for the cost but not something I'd call a good value.

I did receive both calendars. One looked good. The other had a printing flaw half way through the calendar. I opened up a chat with Mixbook customer service to get it reprinted. The agent was nice but there were several requests for information, for pictures, bigger pictures. Once that was satisfied, the message said something to the effect of....to compensate me for the time and trouble they would provide me with a complimentary reprint of the calendar.... Also, they send a confirmation email of the reprint. The confirmation email was a duplicate of the original order. The online agent stated that was because the reprint process was internal.

All in all, I think they company makes a nice product but it costs and if they make an error, you are going to have do some legwork to get it corrected.

Top quality product but US-based so watch out for those delivery charges!

I held my breathe awaiting the printed results - which were returned amazingly quickly - and was not disappointed. In fact I was totally impressed: colours were really good and printed on decent quality card/paper. Not sure you could improve on the quality. So why not 5 Stars?

When the postage charge came up - 20% of the product cost - I was shocked and almost cancelled the whole project. I wanted quite a few copies, which 'upped' the postage, but had done a lot of work putting the thing together so decided to go ahead.

In future, if I want just a few copies of a calendar produced to a high standard Mixbook would definitely be considered. Otherwise I might have to accept lower quality for significantly less postal charges.

Hands down.....

Created engagement and wedding photobooks. At first it was a little challenging, but as I've gotten used to navigating the website, it was a piece of cake. You have various selections, themes, etc. Long story short, gave me a chance to be creative. Each book turned out so beautifully. They were shipped and delivered in a timely manner (less than two weeks). Hands down, I would definitely recommend Mixbook to capture all of your memories. GOOD JOB.....keep up the great work!!👍😉

A scam!

A scam!
They are incapable of delivering the goods in France. I ordered an album once…never arrived….ordered a second time: did not reach me either. Be careful, you spend hours putting together something and it is all a waste of time.

Ils sont totalement incapable de livrer en Europe. J’ai passé énormément de temps à compiler un album de photos. Ils me l’ont envoyé une première fois, pas reçu, puis une 2ème fois, pas reçu non plus. Trois mois de perdu pour rien! Ils sont incompétents en tout cas en dehors des US.
