Great CRM when a few issues arose all sorted to my satisfaction.

Exterior of my house now looks like new,

I left a 2 star review (copied in full below) and was advised that I had left it for the wrong company: I used MJKloss Carpentry and this is MJKloss Painters. The response said there was no connection between the companies and asked me to take down my review. I immediately took it down as I don't want to bad mouth a company undeservingly.

Well... turns out it's the same company after all. Same registered address, same correspondence address, hell the website even says one is an arm of the other.

So I've taken away a star and here is the review back. One day maybe they'll learn to stop lying. Doubt it.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
Really disappointing experience. We brought in MJ Kloss to install some reclaimed wood floors. They inspected them and determined they needed planing before they could be laid, we trusted them and the price seemed reasonable. At first things went well and work began only a couple of days behind schedule. We hit a snag when about half the wood had been laid and it emerged they hadn't got round to planing the rest.

This is when the lies began. After not responding to multiple emails, I managed to get hold of them by phone and was told that the wood had been planed and loaded into a van, but the driver had been taken suddenly ill. Then the next day, the wood was somehow unplaned again and needed to be unloaded. There was 3 weeks of back and forth with our wood reaching, variously, 90% complete... 99% done just one more day... oh wait we haven't actually started yet. I called out Coralie at MJK on the lies and she denied ever saying it. Eventually, by escalating my complaint, we agreed to pay only for the work completed with an additional discount and with then returning the remaining wood. This was a really fair result, and the reason they get 2 stars rather than 1.

HOWEVER the story does not end there. We brought a new carpenter in to try to finish the floors off, and he took one look at what had been done and asked why on earth we had planed such beautiful wood. It needed de-nailing, which he did in our apartment in half a day, and then he laid the remaining half in 2 days flat. He charged £800. MJK came to about £4000 all in, and because of the unnecessary planing looks nowhere near as good as the unplaned wood we laid later on.

3 months, £4000, for what we now know should have been 2 days and £800. Says it all really.

Quality of the work is excellent. Craig who was undertaking the decorating was flexible and thorough. He made it an easy experience.

M J Kloss were excellent from start to finish. This is the second time that I have used them and didn't even bother getting alternative quotes this time around.

The decorator was a superstar, polite, friendly and he did the most amazing job.

MJKLoss did an excellent job painting both the interior and exterior of my house. The team was professional, stuck to the schedule, and delivered high-quality work with great attention to detail. Everything looks sharp and clean—exactly what I was hoping for. Five stars.

Very happy with the service received from MJ Kloss. From the estimate and quotation, to the work carried out, all was professional and of a high standard. We had dining room/kitchen, living room and two bedrooms redecorated. This also included the stripping and re-papering of one ceiling and frieze.

We booked MJ Kloss to redecorate our one bedroom flat in central London - all rooms, hallways, stairs and woodwork. They were extremely efficient in coming to look at the work needed and provide a quote and made a number of changes to fit in with our requirements. The quote was very competitive and it was very easy to book the work in around our own plans. The decorator that completed the work was professional, clean and tidy and did a very methodical job. We are extremely pleased with the finish on everything. They use Johnstone's paints and there is a wide range to choose from (you can use other brands if that is your preference and they will cost the work accordingly). We would thoroughly recommend MJ Kloss.

We've been receiving flyers from M J Kloss for years. When requiring some decorating work recently we got 3 quotes. Theirs was the most competitive but also the most professional quote. The communication from MJ Kloss was fantastic from the quote and right through the job. The decorator who did our job worked harder than I've ever seen anyone work. And we've had quite a few jobs done over the years! We are thrilled with the results and wouldn't hesitate to use MJ Kloss in the future. Professional and a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.

I rarely endorse or recommend but I make an exception for the MJKloss team. I would happily have them back. They did a good job decorating my whole house, quickly and carefully.

MJ Kloss painted the whole of my downstairs and upstairs stairwell, landing and bathroom following renovation works. They did a brilliant job and Petro was hard working and lovely to deal with. The whole team starting with Felix and then Jez and Petro were super responsive, friendly and professional. My renovation works were delayed which caused them inconvenience but they just adapted with a positive attitude. When I had a change of heart in colour they worked with me and were extremely reasonable. I will absolutely be coming back to them when the rest of my place needs painting and would highly recommend
