Poor service high staff turnover

Very disappointed in this solicitors and would not recommend. Told payment up from required, yet sent bill for additional services not mentioned. Overcharged and challenged errors made. Difficult to maintain professionalism with constant change in staff. Poor conduct and complaint unacknowledged. Made request under IFO and never received it. No experience dealing with ND so caused additional stress. Look elsewhere.

Certainly not for wills and probate

There are no circumstances in which we would again use this firm. It is noteworthy that their web site plays down their work in wills and probate and does not facilitate in it an opportunity to comment on those services, unlike in others. Our experience of their work in probate matters was horrendous. More than likely, it is a question of lack of interest, experience and priority. I cannot comment on their work in other fields of legal practice. Members of the firm with whom we dealt were courteous and consistently apologetic but not always working, we believed, in their areas of deep knowledge. By our experience, it appeared that their problems were generated from the top downwards.

By MKB’s own admission, they acknowledged that we did not receive an efficient, focused and timely service from them, and the service provided was less than professional. In addition, we were not at all times kept properly appraised of developments and that enquiries we legitimately raised were not answered in a timely manner. In place of various matters being addressed at once and thereafter progressed efficiently, a piecemeal approach was adopted by MKB.

Due to the errors made by MKB, which had not been picked up earlier, further avoidable delay was caused, which led to the administration of the estate taking over three years to be fully completed from the date upon which instructions were first given.

Sometimes, several days and more passed without a response to e-mails from us, raising legitimate and understandable enquiries. At times, the explanation was given that other client work had taken priority. The fact that the work was handled among their lawyers contributed to that delay. At times no explanation or information has been offered on this, thus causing further delay. At times, When MKB law undertook to provide information/documentation to us, this this was not fulfilled.

For us at least, to be avoided at all costs.
