Perhaps the worst customer service of all time?

Perhaps the worst customer service of all time? Been contacting MLB about two game used baseballs that sported the MLB hologram but weren't in their system for over ten years now (crazy, isn't it?) and still haven't gotten a resolution. Hilarious, right? Started way back in 2014 with a customer rep named Howard Shelton, now the customer service agents decline to use their names, which is understandable given how awful the service they provide is. Latest exchange involved me sending in pictures of the balls and holograms (again), and then told... and this is word for word from the un-named agent... "Please continue to check the website for updates." Over ten years. "Just keep checking the website" sounds like someone doesn't want to do their job, does it?

Cannot get live streaming

I try to watch a game and cannot get it on my tv or my computer. This happens 50-75% of the time. At the beginning of the season, I even bought a 1000 dollar new TV with model number given to me by MLB help line. It still does not work consistently. This is the most frustrating thing I have ever experienced. The help line told me my tv model will not work anymore due to upgrades in the software. What the heck!!!!! Am I supossed to buy another TV to see if I can get it to work? Have the time will not work on my computer

I subscribe to MLB

I subscribe to MLB. You can’t get all the games you pay for. They put games on all kinds of Cable channels. If you happen to be able to get it you have to listen to crappy announcers a team wouldn’t employ. You definitely do not get what you pay for, and it gets worse every year.

Worst customer service on the planet

Worst customer service on the planet. Less games every year - no explanation of why a game is not being broadcast. Mobile devices sometimes allow you to log in and other times indicate you have no subscription. Waste of time trying to talk to customer service. Why aren't they required to inform repeat customers that they will be getter fewer games before the subscription is renewed each year? Typical of the arrogant pigs that control MLB today.

Horrible Return Process, Customer Service

First they did not recognize my order number. They sent me to a service that charges $1 to tell you how to make a return. This service signed me up for a full year at $55. I had to make out four different returns (wrong size) since they shipped from four locations. There was no way to combune the returns. Then had to bring to a USPS location. This whole process took me almost three hours! At each step it went in circles. No way to contact MLB Shop directly for assistance.

They have made a deal with Apple TV to not show me some games.

They have made a deal with Apple TV. Some games I'd normally get to watch say "Apple TV". To watch these games I must sign up for free Apple TV trial. I've already had a free Apple TV trial and don't want it. Now I can't watch many regular games because of this deal mlb.com made with Apple. So, mlb.com gets paid by me to watch a game but gets paid by Apple to not let me watch that game. You can't make a good deal with a bad guy (mlb.com is that bad guy).

I signed up for MLB. I was enjoying watching the games. I went away for a few weeks. When I came back home I could not login to MLB. I asked the customer service lady why I couldn't login. She really could not tell me why I couldn't login. I cancelled my subscription.

Can't get the games that we signed up for. MLB says we in market, although our address is out of market. Apparently we have an IP address that is "in market", which is 7 miles away. Tried to get our Internet service provider to fix the issue. They say that the modem grabs an IP address when it is plugged in and they cannot change it. MLB will not issue a refund - or even prorate a refund. Their comment: "Too bad, you had 5 days to cancel - that is our terms of service". Total BS

I was given tickets as a gift from my brother.
I accidentally entered wrong email address to retrieve them. So, then I added another/alternate - and corrected - email for access. Then I found that that address was verified but when I clicked on "Access Tickets", prompt came back that no tickets were found.
I tried unsuccessfully several times to correct this via website and then with a delayed on-line chat. I gave up, and finally located a phone number. and called them at 866-244-2291. A CSR advised me to contact my brother directly and have him cancel my on-line ticket order and instead and then send the tickets directly to me. That finally worked.
Clearly this system, however well-intentioned, can be frustrating. Be very careful when dealing with them. Also, do not wait until a couple of days before the game. My advice: Call MLB directly if there is problem.

Compromised service!! Forced to see monotonous MLBbites!!

I have been an international subscriber (Denmark) on MLBTV since the very start in the mid-2000s. This is the first year I have ever made a formal complaint to their customer service about a recurring problem ac couple of months ago. And I have been ignored. All the years prior, the app allowed me to navigate freely between innings and avoided wasted time on between-inning commercials/repeated videobites. They are totally unnecessary, monotonous and add nothing special to the app, yet we as subscribers are FORCED to wait them out, also during PITCHING CHANGES!! In previous years, I have been able to navigate freely to see other innings if I missed them, but not now. Once the commercial has started, there is no navigation. the app is locked.. Unless you completely come out of app and start it again and quickly find the inning you're after, you have to wait it out. The app is VERY expensive for what you get already. When Danish sales tax ($30) the total for a year is $180! And now the service is compromised with irritating monotonous mlbbites that they are forcing me to watch and waste my time on. Come on MLB! Provide services that make annual users feel like it is a professional sports app, or else you'll lose us!!

Dear MLB

I have been an MLB.tv subscriber since 2008 and paying extra money because I live in Denmark (over $150 with all the taxes).

Where in the world did MLB media people this year get the idea to lock subscribers in to have to play between-inning videos?? Unless I am watching other games simultaneously or I reboot the app, I do not have the freedom I deserve within a game to switch to see another inning in the same game when the damned between-inning video kidnaps the screen.

We are FORCED to see monotonous repeated messages and video clips even in just a pitching change!!!

Change this policy and give your subscribers back their freedom to surf within a game!

Sincerely,

Rodney Moore,
President, Danish Baseball Federation

Suddenly their system won't let me log in. Two hours on the phone over 3 days, finally talk with a supervisor who tells me they've done all they can do - utter nonsense, they've done nothing- and I'm out of luck. He suggests I call my computer manufacturer. Completely uninterested in helping. A customer service experience that could not have been worse.
