I wanted to upgrade my 2013 Felt Nine 70 with a rear wheel electric conversion kit. The bike is in great condition, but it is fairly old and I have never had an ebike so I wanted something affordable to try out ebiking. After some shopping around I found Modds eBikes and Scooters which was considerably more affordable than others, so decided to get one of their 250 Watt rear conversion kit, which arrives quickly (free delivery) and was very well packaged.
Installation was (with some help from online videos) very straightforward for someone with some bike maintenance experience. The result is excellent.
Initially there was an issue with the battery pack, but after a brief call with the company, it was promptly and quickly replaced with one that works perfectly.
Before I purchased the kit and during the installation I had a few questions that were also very promptly answered.
I have now used my converted bike for about a month and I am very pleased with the result. The 250 Watt motor is quiet and more than powerful enough for my purpose. I use my bike in mixed, semi-hilly terrain (road, paths and tracks) and it provides just the right amount of boost I need for a comfortable ride.
I would highly recommend Modds eBikes and Scooters if you are looking for an affordable but good quality ebike conversion kit.
