Northern Male from "Platinum Models" rude and ignorant!!!!

Applied via IG and then got a call from a lady at "Platinum Models", followed by 2 emails which I responded to (trying to book a studio appointment).

Instead of an email response, I got a call from a random guy, sounded like a stale pale northern male, I could be wrong. He dropped the phone on me after I repeatedly asked him to repeat himself. I sent another email (copied below FYI) with the full "experience" and of course it wasn't acknowledged or responded to.

Don't waste your time or breath with these guys.

Just had a wild call from a Northern Male representing your company.

Upon advising him I've already had a call from yourselves he responded with "yes and"...... the call escalated from there, with me not hearing what he said in some parts due to his reception. I asked him to repeat himself 6 times as the reception his end was poor, I could not hear what he was saying, his voice was loud, aggressive and rude. For all I know this may well be his company but in case it isn't, this is FYI.

Apparently he had nothing about our previous call or this email communication, which he should have said from the beginning, rather than being aggressive and rude on my phone.

My previous communication with the lady that called prior was great so my Google review on your company will be solely based on his attitude.

Disappointing how this random guy has zero phone etiquette and when it's brought to his attention he gets defensive, rather than taking in any form of feedback.

You do not say "yes and...." in any professional context. Literally the 2nd thing he said to me on the phone.

He clearly needs training and a chill pill. And of course he declined my application. If he's the first/2nd point of contact for applicants, you need to know this is his attitude. Hopefully you have calls recorded so you can hear for yourself but given it was his mobile, I pretty much doubt it."

No response a week later

Unfortunately I found out the hard way…

Unfortunately I found out the hard way that this company is a scam. They are very misleading and deceitful.

Once I filled in the online application they called me to invite me to see how I will be in front of a camera. After your pictures are taken you go for a consultation to see how you have done. Inside the consultation room he talks to you like they are a modelling agency and that he will get you 4 jobs a month and that he can get you on commercials and what percentages they get from you and the more work he gets you the more his company gets, and all you have to do is sit back and wait for their calls of job offers. Once you pay, he takes you to a website already created for you, which made everything seem so genuine. I was really badly scammed and don't know if I'll ever recover from this. I was congratulated on having completed a good photo shoot and was told a company called Choice in Brixton was to call me the following day for work, instead I got a call from a company called Electric Models, who wanted to book me immediately. As I was told not to accept any booking from any agency without their knowledge, I started calling Model Hunt so I can let them know about the Electric Models, and when they did not take any of my calls, I started to realise that I've been scammed. They even booked two sessions of training for me, explaining that was why my fee was so high. I've never been so scammed before.

Avoid! Scam.

I recently applied for models hunt through a facebook advertisement and then i received a call from a different scam agency ( Platinum Models) and they asked me to book a photoshoot and to call them back. Before i decided to step forward with anything i looked at reviews and i found out that this is all a money making scheme these scammers are using. They have also emailed me asking when i’m going to call them at least 6 times. Avoid!

Can't answer basic questions

Got a call from Envymodelsuk which claimed to be a modelling agency and yet could provide no evidence of any past work, standard contract and they got very rude and upset when asked simple questions like " what brands have your models most recently worked with?"

THIS IS A SCAM!

THIS IS A SCAM!!
Do your research. I done a 30 second application on model hunt and received a phonecall the following day to take my baby to ‘Manchester Fashion Studio’ for a test photoshoot. Manchester fashion studio does not exist on Google, the postcode takes you to an industrial estate unit that doesn’t have a sign up. The Emails are generic scam emails, the links on them take you to fake instagram profiles where you can’t comment on any of the photos to make other people aware. Luckily I realised all of this the night before I travelled 2 hours with my baby. I watched a video on tik tok and it had the exact same Emily I have been sent. They then rang me to ask why twice as to why I didn’t turn up and I challenged them on the phone. There was no answer at all. One girl said she was just the receptionist and then next one that rang just said they weren’t a scam and put the phone down. They try to get you there for free then they say you need to buy the photos but there is no modelling agencies connected to these scammers so you won’t have a chance at getting work anyway. I am reporting them to trading standards and action fraud.

This is a SCAM!!!

This is a SCAM!!!! If you are looking for paid job in modelling don’t waste your time here. They will sweet talk you into selling the pictures of you they have taken and call it your “portfolio”. You will not be contacted by no paid work modelling or any modelling for that matter and if you try to get in touch to request a refund they will speak to you like crap!
You got a lot of money to waste, then model hunt U.K. is your place!

I had a shoot here on Sunday

I had a shoot here yesterday. I was quite skeptical as I had read some bad reviews but I am so happy I went ahead and attended. absolutely over the moon with my experience, I had a lovely time and the photographer made me feel so comfortable. The advisor was great and explained everything perfectly to me. I was told agencies would be in touch if they were interested and someone has actually contacted me this morning with an offer and I have an app on Friday already!!! I Did purchase some pics but I didn't feel pressured at all. I'm so glad I went along and would definitely recommend anyone wanted to start off in modeling gets in touch with them.

Scam!!!!!

Unfortunately I found out the hard way that this company is a scam. They are very misleading and deceitful.

Once I filled in the online application they called me to invite me to see how my daughter is on camera, and how she reacts. After your pictures are taken you go for a consultation to see how you done. Inside the consultation room she talks to you like they are a modelling agency and that she will get you 4 jobs a month and that she can get you on commercials and what percentages they get from you and the more work she gets you the more her company gets, and all you have to do is sit back and wait for there calls of job offers. Once you pay, she takes a video of you and sneakily mentions in the video that agencies will be in touch where as before the payment was taken she said you will have access to these agencies.

I asked not to be in that video and for it only to be my husband and daughter but she illegally took me in the process at which point I was in shock, put on the spot and felt like I was in a very hostile situation and didn’t notice what she had said.

Once you leave the premises you start to get emails about being a freelance and that you will have more of a chance at getting work if you contact these other agencies. And soon enough you get to realise that you were mislead into thinking that modelhunt were the agency when in fact all they did is take pictures, take your money and send your details to other scam agencies.

When I contacted them for a refund, first I was speaking to Hannah, she did a 3 way call with Lydia the consultant who was very rude and wouldn’t let me speak. In emails I told them 5 times to view the video inside the consultation room to which Hannah kept saying the video that was taken after the sale that was taken illegally was sufficient enough for her and she refused to view the video inside the room. They are very cleaver at getting peoples money and changing once you make that payment.

I had signed online with modelhunt.co.uk, the emails started coming from model bookers and platinum models, they take payments from shoes and boots Ltd Arnie1 main store.

Do not send your pictures to this site

Do not send your pictures to this site. They then contact you from a different company name! Model bookers! From then reading the reviews on them also I would steer clear! They are very clever in the way they have a similar name as another modelling company which has good reviews!

Total Scam.

I filled in the application form but sent a picture of my dog to see what would happen... Unsurprisingly received the "Congratulations!" Email. What a money making scam. Shameful.

SCAM!!!

SCAM!!!
All they do is take photos of you to then get you to pay, which isn’t told before. Very pushy! Manipulative! They seem confident and nice until you ask questions- become rude. Tried to get me to pay £300 there and then, that was the lowest option. The highest was £1000- they had different perks inside. They also work with Dynamite agency who got In contact the next day, who are also a scam!

I’m actually really worried as I’ve signed my baby on this. I got a call today saying I would get an email. I didn’t receive an email and when I called the number back it kept going to answer machine. Is this a fake account if so how to I get my baby’s picture back?

Steer well clear!!

Very bad experience, they tried to pressure me into signing up “right now” stating they had 15 slots and 10 were already taken. When I asked questions such as what exactly I’d be doing and if there was a website or social media account I could view they became very aggressive and told me to be humble as I’m not as attractive as I think I am. Please steer clear of this fake company at all costs. My opinion is that they are trying to defraud people. Lowest of the low type of people.
