Do not buy Mohawk LVP flooring with Uniclic

I have installed a complete house with Mohawk luxury vinyl planks with their patented "Uniclic" system, and I would never use this product again due to the fact that the system for connecting the planks is very difficult to impossible install correctly. The planks will not click together without using a hammer and tapping block and the edging is often damaged when it comes out of the box or easily gets damaged when you are trying to fit the planks together so that they will not stay connected and will often pull apart after you have laid down multiple rows so that you would have to pull apart all of the rows to go back and get them to snap together again. I have installed other much cheaper LVP products from other companies that went together much better than Mohawk and these other products stayed together over the long run unlike Mohawk, so I know that it is not my installing skills, but it is this product. When I contacted Mohawk to tell them about the problems and to ask for a refund, they told me I had to go through the retailer where I bought the product. I am convinced that they know they are selling an inferior product and I hope that a class action lawsuit can be brought against them for knowingly selling this junk.

Poor service

I have been trying to contact a subsidiary of Mohawk industries- Daltile to get information about an order placed a few months ago without success. I have contacted local stores, as well as those on the East Coast (more helpful) and while they have excellent products, the service is less than. I placed an order for countertops and was told there wouldn't be a problem in getting. I asked before selection because we are on a tight schedule. Having done rental homes, I was particularly concerned, as this is my personal residence. Now, I cannot get an answer about when the product will be in - and while I understand that "Covid" has pushed deliveries back, since I work in distribution, I also called to other locations and learned that the product is available in minimally THREE other stores. That I have to chase down a product that has been ordered and paid for is stunning. I would think that the staff would try a little more to satisfy this order rather than to leave me - the customer - to call around to locations. The lack of pro-activity when we are on deadlines after a fair bit of time without ANY indication of when I can expect delivery is disappointing and POOR service. Try another company
