I bought the black Palma Star dress for my Christmas party — a dress I’ve wanted for years — and even paid extra to customise the neckline. It arrived six days before the event, and I’m really disappointed. I also didn’t realise the zip would be on the right side, and that wasn’t mentioned anywhere. The customisation process just feels unclear: you don’t really know what you can change or what the final result will look like, and I think there should be more communication around this, especially when you are paying so much money for this product.

Now I’m left with no dress for my Christmas party and hardly any time to find an alternative, after spending almost £300 on something that doesn't look right. For such an expensive purchase, it’s frustrating that there’s no space for the normal “this doesn’t suit me after all” moment, especially with no returns. I get that they’re a slow fashion, independent brand, but it still feels like there’s no consideration for the human side of buying clothes. It’s been a tough (and costly) learning curve and I won't be buying from Molby again.

I recently bought the pink Paloma dress from Molby the Label and I couldn’t be happier. It’s absolutely beautiful, truly unique, I haven’t seen much else like it anywhere else. I was a bit of a difficult customer, changing my mind about the size, but Sam and the team were so patient and helpful throughout. Their advice was spot-on and thanks to them, I now have the most perfectly fitted dress I’ve ever owned. I’ll be wearing it for my graduation and I know I’ll feel so special in it. Thank you so much

If I could give zero stars I would. Purchased a dress from this company as a pro seller on Vinted. The dress was significantly smaller than another dress of same size so needed to return. So far there has been 3 attempts to deliver by RM and no correspondence to either me as a customer or Vinted. Shameful

I ordered the Inga dress just one week ago with the express delivery and customisation options - it arrived this morning and I am delighted as it is beautiful, in quality and style!

It arrived well within the time frame ready for me to wear for all my Christmas events. It fits perfectly, which is so rare for me and fills me with absolute joy.

And even better I know it will last for years!

Molby always make such high quality, beautiful dresses. They are wardrobe staples, so easy to dress up or down and are so long-lasting. Their staff are super easy to get in touch with if you need something made to measure.

I love Molby, especially as they’re inclusive with the sizing. It’s my second purchase and the red seersucker dress is stunning in real life. The colour is gorgeous, material so soft and comfy and the dress is well made. They are an investment in terms of cost but if this dress is anything to go by my last purchase it’s a wardrobe staple that can be worn again and again, and a fair price for made to order.

The most beautiful dresses, made with so much care and absolutely worth every penny. Customer service is always fantastic too. I’ve never had a dress make me feel so good and so confident, my collection now sits at 4 stunning dresses and I always have my eye on the next treat. If you’re debating whether to treat yourself to one, DO IT! You absolutely won’t regret it, they are the pride of my wardrobe. Thank you Molby team

I cannot say enough good things about this company! Besides their dresses bring beyond beautiful (I have 4, love them that much!) their customer service is something else. So if you re worried about buying online don’t! Nothing is ever too much trouble, they even rush delivered a dress in a few days for my birthday. Everything a great retailer should be.

Molby the Label are without doubt one of the best brands I’ve ever bought from. My experience with the team has been nothing but positive, and they are - for me - everything a slow fashion brand should be. But to be hopefully more helpful, I’ll review in sections;

Quality of fabric: overall, the quality of Molby dress fabrics is excellent. I read some reviews below commenting on some of the materials used being thin. That is true, some are, but this, I always assumed, was deliberate on their part to offer different textures and movement in the garments. I have 11 Molby dresses and the feel and weight of fabrics ranges. But I wear them for different reasons. I will honestly say some of the lighter fabrics don’t feel as amazing quality as the heavier (and that is reflected in the price), and here what you are paying for is that they are handmade for you. However, some of my heavier/more pouffy dresses, honestly I can’t comprehend how they don’t cost more. The amount of material used, and how amazing the material is, they are lovlier than my wedding dress!!

Quality of workmanship: I’m writing this section separately as I saw a comment critiquing the sew quality. I cannot speak on anyone else’s experience of course but I’ve had nothing but beautifully sewn clothes that are built to last. The one time there was an issue with a dress, the company paid for me to return it, fixed the issue, and offered a voucher afterwards. They couldn’t have done more.

Customer service: For me, Molby CS has been immaculate. They are the sweetest bunch of folk ever, and their response times have always been really good and 100% reasonable. As a small company they won’t have a 24/7 CS line of course, but I understand that is frustrating for some. Personally speaking, I’ve never waited more than a few days to hear back by email, and though I’ve contacted them using IG & it’s been longer, I know IG isn’t many company’s go to way of dealing with CS issues.

Cost: yep, they are expensive compared with FF, but that reflects paying their staff a good and fair wage, and creating clothes that last. Also you can use Klarna, they have points rewards, and they frequently have sales/discounts.

I sound like I know this team/work there, haha I honestly dont! But this is the trust & value I place in this company. You want something quality and made with care and love - Go Molby 🩵

I have received 2 molby dresses this week and am honestly blown away with the quality of the dresses! They are beautiful!!

I am actually going to send one back to get altered so it has the same bodice as the Patty Dress! I love that style so much! The customer service team have been so helpful!

I will continue to shop at molby for a long time!!!

Where do I start? If I could give ten stars I would. I absolutely adore my Whitney dress from Molby The Label.
It arrived in a paper package which was 100% recyclable.
I opted for the customised option which was made beautifully,and fitted me perfectly.
The high quality cotton fabric is heavy and feels exspensive.I’ve had so many compliments when I wear it.
I fell instantly in love when I saw the latest limited edition dress and went online to order.
There were a few glitches initially but Molby HQ were phenomenal and helped me order the dress. Their communication was outstanding and efficient.they even applied a discount code and waved the customisation fee.
They couldn’t have been more helpful.
I can’t wait to receive my new Olive dress in the blue baroque fabric.

I’ve just received my 17th dress. The fit, the quality, the price, the service are all 5*. I no longer trawl the high street for fast fashion. I love the versatility of my dresses to glam up for an occasion or add a wedge trainer for a casual vibe. Can’t recommend MolbyTheLabel any higher.

The products themselves are so well made, you can tell love and care goes into creating them.

Molby the label is my go too brand for dresses. I have around 20 dresses and have all been perfection. From the moment I order until I receive the dress; the experience is amazing. The girls at Molby are all so lovely and always get a response when needed. They make you feel so special. I can guarantee to always get a compliment when I wear a Molby dress when I’m out and they make me feel amazing. My most recent purchase was for my baby shower! I gave my exact measurements and even put added lining to make sure I wasn’t self conscious as I’ve not felt my best during my pregnancy but this day I felt beautiful and again showered with compliments.

Buying a Molby dress is an investment and you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait for my next order already.

Dresses are always absolutely amazing quality. I must own about 15 Molby dresses. Each dress washes and wears perfectly. Customer service has always been OUTSTANDING! The girls at team Molby are always so helpful when I want to make little adjustments to my dresses. Well what can I say, I’ve purchased my 5th dress from Molby and the fit is like nothing I’ve ever had before in my life.
I feel so confident in these dresses.

The girls are so helpful over email and go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. It’s great to have the option to add specific alterations at the time you place the order, so you know the fit is going to work for you every time!!

The dresses are made with love, care and attention.

Last but certainly not least, the fabrics are sustainably sourced and made in the UK, the brand ethos is to reduce waste and landfill and promotes slow fashion, outfit repeating, recycling items. You can even rent their dresses for a small price tag on Byrotation!!

I absolutely love this brand and I cannot wait to see this seasons AW24 collection.

Molby has fantastic designs and fabrics, the dress shapes are always flattering and I love the ethos of the business.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with many of the previous reviews. My main issue is the turnaround times. It is frustrating to order a dress that, at the time of ordering, said it would take 2-3 weeks. The website since changed to 21 working days and at the time of writing, it’s been almost 2 months and I’ve heard nothing. The goalposts are always shifting without any communication. Meanwhile, they continue to release new designs and it feels like orders get forgotten. It is incredibly disheartening to watch influencer after influencer get the latest, beautiful pieces, when paying customers are ignored and overlooked.

The lack of communication makes it all the more frustrating - I’d just like to know what’s going on rather than being left in the dark. Just be honest with your customers!

I really love this as a sustainable fashion brand and when the dresses do arrive, the quality is excellent. It just feels like they don’t want to provide a good customer service - not okay given the money being spent.

Please do better Mølby.

I ordered a dress which was due to have a 3 week turnaround, which in the end took 8 weeks to arrive. The communication was really poor with emails being ignored for weeks on end.

They did eventually offer to refund me but said they would send the dress that week, which they did.

It’s arrived beautiful quality however very small made in my opinion. This is my first Molby dress and unfortunately will be the last. At £200 for the dress the service host wasn’t there even for a small business. Such a shame.
