A few treats via Moneyhelpline.
The best information from Moneyhelpline that benifited me was after I switched energy supplier because of thier unhelpful attitude over a dispute. Npower retained an overpatment that I had made via DD, an overpayment that i was unaware of, Npwer certainly made no attempt to inform of an overpayment when the switch was made. However, via information from Moneyhelpline, I rang Npower that informed of the overpayment, that in fairness did return the money on my request. The point is, unless I had requested the information and its return, that money would have been retained. I sincerly hope that such practice is not common to energy companies as it appears to exploit a loophole in decent pratice.
