It's been a while since the company shut down (I believe due to lawsuits regarding the name). However, today I found myself getting fascinated by my Montage bag (the latest one from Kickstarter that had the name Montley embossed instead allegedly due to the lawsuit). My SO and I really love these bags and we use them regularly especially during our travels. I've gotten so many compliments at the airport. I also use this bag and their previous Montage Bag model interchangeably almost daily.

The bags are holding up really well (crossed fingers). Aside from the elegant and clean look, they're very functional and easy to use. I can easily carry both my laptop and tablet whilst keeping them protected and easy to take out (especially during security checks at the airport). Even with those, I still have so much room for the rest of my stuff. I also really like that the bag opens completely (like a luggage) for convenience.

I never experienced the issues stated here by other people, thankfully. Their customer support was also very responsive and accommodating when I asked if they can retroactively add the discount code I found to an order I already made. This is what prompted me to back their last product on KS (apart from the aesthetics and functionalities of the bag of course). There might have been some delay in the delivery of the KS bags, but they were still within an acceptable threshold for KS products, I think.

Overall, I am really happy about this company and I hope they would come back as I am willing to support them again.

I don't see why all those terrible reviews. That prompted me to write my review. I got two Montage backpacks (2 colors): I had to wait a bit longer that anticipated, but when I got the backpacks I really liked them. They are made of cork, quite fancy. I'm using them everyday to transport my laptop and also use them when travelling abroad, as hand luggage. I'm very satisfied with them, not a scratch since I have been using them

I bought my beautifully crafted montage bag in 2021. I get compliments on it all the time. Its very well made with cork ( not leather). It still looks great. I receive update emails from Montage all the time. One of recent was that they are going out of business I believe had to do with rights to their business name. It's unfortunate with all the bad reviews. I find it strange that montage bags would not respond to emails. I never had a problem and would have bought more of their products. Anyways, for the people who didn't receive their bags, I hope Montage will offer refunds or fulfill their orders.

Delivered faulty product for absurd amount of money. Zippers broke on first use, fake leather is cheap and scratched immediately. Label on backpack doesn't match company name. No follow up from company when reached out multiple times with complaints or requesting new stuff. Don't buy from them.

Giving one star because zero star not available. I paid for a bag in May. Its October, no bag. They put out one update a month, don't reply to comments or emails, no tracking numbers, just ghosted. People who by some miracle received a bag, hated its poor quality. SCAMMERS. LIARS. CHEATERS. KICKSTARTER AND INDIEGOGO PLEASE FINE THESE F***CKRS AND BLACKLIST THEM.

Backed their backpack project on Kickstarter, supposed to receive bags around May (now it is October), poor communication and response regarding inquiries about tracking number and status of backpack. Hear about poor quality from others that were lucky enough to receive a backpack, definitely not going to purchase Montage or Montley (name sewn on those that received backpacks) products again.

The bag I received looks cheap. It spells Montley. It came from Dongguan China. I suspect that it is from Taobao. Felt cheated.

I backed their most recent Kickstarter campaign (Evolutionary Everyday Backpack) despite negative reviews on Trustpilot. As it turns out, this was a scam. Their originally promised bag is very different from what we were delivered. The cheap PU leather bag, without a computer compartment in the back, and no hooks on the straps, with cheap zippers that get stuck anyway, looks NOTHING like the promised backpack in the campaign. It was 4 months late, and when it arrived it was in one plastic bag. Not worth all of the $230 CAD that I spent on it. It's more like $40.00 with how cheap it looks. Please don't support this company. In addition to all of these poor practices, the bag came with the name MONTLEY instead of MONTAGE so we were scammed with cheap chinese replacements. They stopped communicating changes with campaign backers and it seems like hundreds of people are without a backpack and very disappointed in them. They have been reported to Kickstarter with no resolution. This is all a shame. I ended up having to purchase a different bag anyway because the one I was sent was useless to my needs.

Backed their kickstarter. 6 months delay, horrible communication, super cheap and unusable product, been ghosted after they posted all bags have left their factory (which they called shipping completed). While I got mine, many do not have gotten theirs. Also not worth what they promised on KS. Keep away.

I backed up ($200+) this project back in february, which had an estimated arrival time of May 2023. Fast forward almost october 2023, have not received my bag and there is no response nor updates from the team. Completely dishonorable and upsetting as this seems like a scam!

Through my recent experience with "Montage" the lesson learned is to never fully trust a brand online, especially for crowdfunding projects. While I had thought that these kind of brands/companies do this to help launch their products, this company did just to outright scam their backers.
I am one of them.

The received bag is not what I had expected. Very small in comparison to the pictures they had posted on their campaign. Sure size can be subjective, let's move on...

The quality immediately tells "cheap" and their zippers are questionable too.
This is not a bag that I can proudly take around.

There are so many other backers with even more in-depth complaints against Montage's product.

The best part is that Montage is not even breaking a sweat that they scammed their backers by brazenly putting a different brand name/logo on the bags.

Stay away from this company and keep your hard earned money safe.

Sad, with good marketing skills you could do a great job not ruin yourself

To make a long story short I will not use it nor buy anymore on Kickstarter who do not support claims

I bought their Kickstarter backpack. I received a bag with a broken zipper, unuseable. Contacted them through their website, they asked for photos. I sent photos. They replied they could not open my files (they were jpgs!), requested me to resend. I resent. The reply was they were going to escalate the issue to figure out how to resolve it. Then nothing for a month. The resolution would be to exchange it with a product with a working zipper or refund my money. Total scam! Multiple request go unanswered. Buyer Beware! This looked legit when I joined their Indiegogo campaign. But after delays nothing has shipped and no response from the people running this scam.

The might at one time have been legit but you only have to scroll through reviews here to see they are just crooks now.

Very disappointing and angering in that they simply failed to do any of what they claim and then ignore people who are rightly incensed by their failures.

Company only lists glowing reviews. I left a one star review of the bag on their website. I essentially the product is not of the high quality they claim: easily damaged and not eco friendly. After leaving my review it was never posted. I do not recommend purchasing from this company.

I purchased both the backpack and the smaller bag through Kickstarter. The smaller bag was never sent and after months of emails, I have still not received a refund. The backpack arrived and looked lovely, but within a few months of using it every day, the zips started braking, the handle and straps cracked and ripped, and the main fabric started to degrade. I used the bag for about 9 months and then had to admit defeat. I was recently directed to their website and noticed the prominent claim of over 1000 5-star reviews, and was so angry to see the reality of the over 70% of reviews are 1 star, that I had to add my own.

This company has an horrible communication with their customers..

I received my bag at the beginning of September. It was supposed to be delivered in May.

“Montage” became “Montley” without any explanation. This bag is not worth 155€.

It was not a good experience. I definitely do not recommend.

Junk product. Not even close to as advertised. I didn't buy the previous two bags, which according to the other backers on Kickstarter, was a good product made with quality. This was is nothing near the $170 paid for. Forget the months of waiting and poor communication, things like this happen i guess. But the product is probably worth $65 at most. Forgot to mention I didn't get the add-ons that I purchased and got a black bag instead of the brown one I ordered. Only thing this company should get credit for is awesome advertising/promo video. It got me very interested, along with 3K backers!

Do not support this company

They have horrible communication with their customers. I backed their Kickstarter campaign on April and it said that we would receive our reward on May. Once the campaign was over, everyone was pretty much left hanging with no updates about what was going on.

I just recently received my bag at the end of August. The branding was changed from "Montage" to "Montley" and it was never explained why this change was made. Other than that my personal bag was fine, but there are plenty of people who have received backpacks that have dents in them, have a strong bad smell, and have bad zippers.

It was not a good experience. I definitely do not recommend.

I placed an order on the 27th of May but so far I have not received an order and I have already sent a message to this Facebook page without receiving any response. I sent a message to “Indiegogo” and they said to talk to you and I did but so far I have not received a response. I ordered a Backpack Montage and I have to receive it. I need to have an answer when I receive the order because it was paid for and it was supposed to arrive in June and so far I haven't received it. I need an answer please
