Good company

I needed some thick bamboo for a project and this company offered reasonable prices for the bamboo and only charged £9.99 for delivery. I placed the order on Tuesday and was getting a little worried when by the end of Thursday it had still not been sent out . I emailed the company and had a nice email back Friday morning saying it was being dispatched that day. It arrived on Saturday morning, Not the fastest turnaround but I got the product by the weekend which was what I wanted when I placed the order and they did take the time to respond to my email.

I was reasonably happy with what they sent, some of the poles were quite badly scuffed and had a lot of surface defects but they did clean up and varnish OK. I will buy from Moobba again.

It would have been nice to be able to pay a little more for a "Grade A" product. If it is being, sanded and varnished for use indoors you do want as fewer defects as possible. But that is just a suggestion.

Purchased their bamboo restorer

Purchased their bamboo restorer, which is exceedingly expensive at £33.95 per litre, plus an excessive £10 for shipping. I arranged someone to collect instead, and they even make that an operation.

It does not work and smells like ordinary bleach. After much elbow grease, it stripped the surface off the bamboo, leaving a damaged darkened colouring underneath NOT the original yellow colour as promised, ruining my fencing entirely.

Left a negative review on their shop review, and it never appeared, but instead they continued to display 100% satisfaction.

I notice they have now removed obvious reviews entirely, but simply show stars on some items, perhaps to suggest customer satisfaction. I was not satisfied, so how can the product be 5 star?

Once I see a company manipulating reviews (and gouging on delivery delivery costs), I don't trust a single thing on their site.
