Experiencing my son's recent car purchase

Experiencing my child's recent car purchase from Morleys Motors has been deeply frustrating and disheartening.

Within just two days of ownership, our concerns were heightened as we noticed a significant issue with the front windshield wiper tube – it was unexpectedly snapped. The situation took a turn for the worse when the car broke down on the motorway, leaving my child stranded on their way to work just three days later.

As my son commutes outside of Portsmouth, this breakdown not only inconvenienced my son but also shattered our trust in Morleys Motors' claim of selling reliable cars. A vehicle should provide reliable transportation without the constant fear of a breakdown, especially so soon after purchase.

The frustration escalated when my son sought a refund from the dealership. Unfortunately, their requests were consistently ignored, even after sending an official letter. The lack of response from Morleys Motors was disheartening and left my son with no choice but to escalate the matter with the bank. Through a debit card dispute claim, he is still trying to reclaim the money, but the entire process is very time-consuming and left my child without a car for months as the money is tied up with this company.

Adding to the frustration, I had paid for the insurance, losing over 400 pounds from the whole ordeal due to the delayed refund by Morleys Motors. The complete absence of compensation or a refund from the dealership to this day is unacceptable. The lack of accountability and customer support during this ordeal has left my child's first experience buying a car with a lasting negative impression.

In conclusion, I strongly advise fellow parents and potential buyers to steer clear of Morleys Motors for peace of mind. My child's unfortunate experience, coupled with the financial loss, serves as a cautionary tale, and I wouldn't wish such a frustrating and disheartening situation on anyone.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!

Never purchase a car from
Morley’s Motors!

He keeps having my review removed, cheek of it!
I have narrowed it down so he has no rights of getting it removed because it’s bang out of order that people aren’t allowed to share their whole awful experience of someone, when this is what reviews are for!

His behaviour with his reviews, just goes to show the kind of person he really is!

Funny how all of a sudden there is an influx of “positive reviews” going over the top of his negative reviews
Just like before when I saw a negative review had been left after we’d had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this crook! Hasn’t had a decent review in months then people actually come forward to share negative experiences & oh there they are, must be minted now mate with all these sales you’ve done in the last couple of days 😂 at least now you can pay the debt collectors

Our daughter used her savings to buy her first car last year, to which had fault after fault, it started as soon as we drove it home!
It got fixed but each time still faulty!

Basically sold her an unsafe, dodgy car!!!

Thankfully got her money back via the bank as he refused & I had to take it further with a debt collector!

Hopefully no one else falls victim to you!

DO NOT BUY FROM

I bought a Vauxhall vivaro van in December on the test drive. The key fell out the ignition which then he got in and fixed as it was a pin in the barrel. Then once I got it back the air vents was blowing behind the dash and he said to me, it was a motor, but it was still doing it so I investigated in it and they’ve removed the pipes from the vent. Then the dashboard lights and everything went out which was down to a fuse falling out. Then when I turn my lights on the fog lights came on and then I investigated it myself as it went back to him to electrical person to have a look, but he could not find a fault with a van and I found two unprotected wires at the back of the van now, less than a thousand miles, the clutch has gone every time I’ve contacted him he don’t answer the phone or if I text him he don’t reply please avoid as Sales broken vehicles.
Think this company needs looking into

Also I never shouted on the phone as I was with my kids and he did also he started leaving bad reviews on my business pages. And this is being looked into.

With regard to the comments, made by the above customer, we would like to put the record straight.

We were aware of the problem with the key and ignition barrel at time of purchase, and a new key and ignition barrel was fitted before collection of the vehicle. As regarding the heater problem, a replacement heater motor was fitted, as the customer complained that the fan did not operate as good as his previous vehicle. We then sent the vehicle to our Auto Electricians, to be double checked, and no fault was found. Regarding the electrical problem, the customer had fitted electrical units to the vehicle ( such as cameras etc), and any electrical problems were caused by the customer. Before purchase, the vehicle was test driven by the customer, and there was no mention of a fault with the clutch. Lastly, the reason why i did not respond to the customers calls and messages,was because the customer gave me loads of verbal abuse on the phone, which gave me no choice than to avoid contact. I have always treated the customer with respect, and in a professional manner.

Excellent service

I have just bought a pegeot 107 from Morleys Motors. We received excellent communication throughout with instant resposes to any messages online or text which was very helpful. The car is clean both inside and out with paperwork intact including a full service history. Purchase paperwork was completed smoothly and I came away with a folder containing a clear receipt, the car's paperwork and a spare key neatly presented.
Josh is pleasant, friendly, very professional and efficient answering our questions clearly making for a wholly positive experience that cannot be faulted. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Morley's motors. Thank you

Excellent Service at Morleys Motors

I bought a Ford Ka from Josh at Morleys Motors after seeing it on eBay. The car was exactly as described in the details and pictures. Josh very kindly delivered the car all the way to Somerset, as I have disabilities that make a 200 mile plus round-trip difficult. There was no charge for this and he gave a fair price for my old Ka which he drove away. As a person who has done his own mechanics since 1981, I was very pleased that his policy is to rectify even advisories, when a car has passed MOT - not many sellers do this, I would call it the mark of true professional selling. Josh was also very polite and helpful, the car arrived punctually and he had all the documents ready and in order. An excellent car, and excellent service, five stars fully merited.
