I used Caroline & her team at Mortgage Marketplace to arrange a mortgage as a first-time buyer. Their rates for first-time buyers are very competitive.
Overall I was pleased with my experience - Caroline provided useful advice on my situation, including multiple indicative illustrations, and I was able to arrange both an agreement-in-principle and then a mortgage at a competitive rate.
All the way through the process I was kept up-to-date regarding the progress of my mortgage application and eventually completion. Emails were always replied to promptly and clearly, and phonecall appointments kept.
I would use MMP again for future mortgage advice.

I feel that I should write a review as retrospectively I feel I received bad advice and it was more around the advisor making some commission. I used unbiased and was contacted by Kevin Spear from Mortgage Marketplace. It was for a buy to let property but the charges wiped out any savings I made and I didn’t end up with the product I asked for in my initial consultation. I should have been more on the ball but I was paying for advice so I put my trust in them. I have since received excellent advice from a different mortgage broker which made me realise how poor my experience was previously.
