I've taken classes on both Motion Design School and School of Motion. You can't lose with either -- but I personally felt that Motion Design School was a better fit for my learning style. I found that (with School of Motion) it was too challenging to keep up with live classes and teacher feedback was more frustrating than helpful. I needed a learning style that was more flexible and worked with my schedule. Motion Design School was that solution for me. Bonus: Instructors like Markus Magnusson make learning engaging. A lot of time has been poured into the creation of each class, and as a student, I deeply appreciate it.

I recently took a trial course of Deekay tool - Rigging and Motion and as a beginner in motion design I really liked the way they touched the basics. Would highly recommend to anyone who is starting their journey in motion design.

I took Motion Design School '3D Generalist' and was super happy with the instruction. For someone that may have some basic knowledge of Cinema 4d, this course is so easy to follow along with. The final project is a piece that you can proudly present in your reel!

Motion Design School is a fantastic place to learn! They have great teachers, with great practical cases to work with (beautiful designs + smooth animations). They use a modern and practical approach to facilitate the learning experience. Also, they have some bonuses, such as After Effects plugins, that facilitate the workflow. I totally recommend them!
It's an experience that takes you out of your comfort zone and also allows you to overcome fears. Personally, I found Motion School Design as a game changer, not only learning how to use a software (After effects, Cinema4D, Blender) but also equipping you for future complex projects with a right learning structure.
Each course has a great introduction, I'm pretty sure that this is a wonderful investment for any creative career.
I have used motion design school for many years and have found their courses extremely helpful in improving my skills and widening my areas of knowledge. The courses are fun and informative. Would defo recommend!
I enrolled in the "Fundamentals on After Effects" course a few months back, and I have to say, it completely blew my mind. This course was an eye-opener, even for someone like me who isn't a beginner in After Effects.
What stood out was the extensive coverage of information. It delved into so many aspects, introducing me to new tools and creative techniques I hadn't explored before. It felt like a breath of fresh air in the world of animation.
I can't stress this enough: this course is worth it, regardless of your level of experience with After Effects. It has something to offer everyone, from beginners to more seasoned users.
Now, I'm eagerly looking forward to my next course at 3D MOTION BEAST with Motion Design School. Can't wait to keep expanding my knowledge and skills in the world of motion design!
I've working with After Effects for 10 years and enrolled into Motion Beast, the course is straight forward, objective and easy to learn without jumping steps and going to an next level even if you are familiar with the app.
Its great to back to the basics and learn advanced tipo at the same time. Im going to enroll into 3D motion beast
There are so many wonderful, insightful, and (compared to its competition) affordable courses on Motion Design School! I have learned so much from courses by Ben Marriot, Emanuele Colombo, Elias Velho, and Pasha Ho! I'm currently enrolled in 3D Motion Beast and its teaching me techniques that other online schools just don't have yet. Can't wait to make a new reel when I'm done. I also really appreciate the fact MDS offers free trails of courses, so you can test if they are right for you.
And now for the caveats: some courses are a little too reliant on plug-ins that MDS created. The knowledge isn't that useful in situations where you don't have the plug in. I've also seen a lot of pro web 3.0 stuff across different ads and classes, which I just don't support. Hopefully they pivot away form this.
This would be a 5 star review otherwise!
Always amazing, I'm waiting for the new course like for new Marvel movies.
I am a university student majoring in motion graphics and mixed media. and have a project to complete in order to graduate But where I study, they don't teach as much as the project scope requires. So it makes me really want to study here. And I'm sure that here I will develop my skills. until it can be further developed.
I've completed two courses at Motion Design School, and I can say they provided me with the knowledge and skills I needed to get my first job as a motion designer. These courses are led by experts who cover essential tools, workflows, and invaluable tricks, all while emphasizing artistic excellence. I highly recommend them!
Great courses, and responsive team. Price is high when you can get lots of info online but the value of how its laid out, spoken through, and visualized, is really high. Very worth it!
Took Deekay Tool motion and its a nice course for beginners. And it's free. Thanks MDS
Hello. I am a Korean student currently living in Korea. Compared to online lectures in Korea, the composition is small, but I'm really grateful that I can learn the special skills of each motion graphic designer. I like most of the motion graphics classes. As a Korean, the price seems a little high. In Korea, each lecture costs about 150 to 200 dollars, and the composition of the lecture varies. However, I think the current price is reasonable if it is a lecture from a special instructor.
