good parts fair price

Motor-doctor.co.uk made a mistake and sent me the wrong parts (LHD instead of RHD). Instead of simply admitting their mistake, they demanded that I would pay to send them back to Germany. It took publishing this review and emailing the address underneath to solve the problem.

After a few days of back and forth with them, motor-doctor.co.uk agreed to cover the shipping costs and refund me. Thus, I have updated my review from 1 to 2 stars.

If you suspect the part is not correct do not handle it more than necessary or attempt to install it in a vehicle. They will use this to try to evade their responsibilities. Luckily, I could immediately tell that the parts I was sent were wrong.

Be warned that despite the ".uk" website this is a German-based company. Parcels take far longer than advertised to be delivered and any returns (back to Germany, so quite expensive) are the responsibility of the client.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered a car part. The part got delivered to the wrong address and Motor Doctor were very unhelpful. After a week of back and forth with them, in the end I had to complete a form saying that if I'm lying then they will get the Police involved and prosecute etc etc before they would elevate it to their disputes department.
After two weeks, the person who received the parcel managed to track me down through social media and I now finally have the part I ordered.
It turns out they stupidly printed the address like this: "street address, house number" and their label printer missed of the second digit of my address.
In the end, the legal threats, slow response times and my car being off the road for over a week longer than it should have are all the more galling when it wasn't even the fault of anyone else like Evri, it was entirely their fault!

Helpfully (and correctly) advised me NOT to buy from them!
My mechanic said I would need to buy a genuine VW part at £300+vat because motor factors didn't stock it. Finally came across the part (with one end letter different on part number) here for only £87 inc vat!
Rang to check and Caroline(?) was super helpful.
She confirmed stock not held in UK (better to know!) and likely delivery time. She took VIN number and called me 10mins later after checking with 'Technical' to say that this part was, despite their website saying otherwise, not suitable and it's only available from VW!
Excellent information it transpired and didn't allow me to buy something unsuitable (although I wanted to!).
Great service so I'll try buying something else from MD at some point!

Good website to use, missleading as you'd be thinking that they are based in the UK, they are not, they are in Germany.

The item sent is the second one i have purchased and both are way smaller than the correct one despite tying in my Reg no.

Ordered a part for my peugeot 305 in Thailand. But to save on shipping cost had it sent to my brother in Netherlands who handcarried it recently. I hope it is the correct part as I have not yet fitter it. It was delivered quite fast to my brother address. Thanks !

Delivery and Service great. Unfortunately I didn't know a 820 mm cable assembly was for a LH drive car and I have a RH drive car needing a longer cable. A note on the web site may have helped and avoided this situation.

It was too much fuss to return it for10 euros
