Found a car which my daughter was interested in, we checked it out great car. Great condition. Wasn’t sure about the mileage so did a check via the website, it came back and reassured me it was fine, there was a minor discrepancy which was rectified with 10 mins, looks like we are buying the car now, would use again. Thanks Aly for your help.

Avoid at all costs.
The service these lot provide are completely
Bottom of the range checks, these same checks that you’re paying, you can get the exact same checks on a free website.
They won’t issue you any Cat pictures, they will give you the excuse of ( cat photos aren’t made public) however if you use any of the other rival companies they will provide you with a full report including Cat photos, best part about it members of the public can access them aswell.
Avoid at all costs, they are just scamming people by promoting themselves onto google so people miss the free options.

Used motorcheck via carwow and the HPI check gave out of date information. The company claim that They receive data from the DVLA. However, the garage had already done a HPI check (before I did my own one). The garage showed an up to date v5c date. The one that I paid for showed an outdated one!!!!! To make it clear, both of these checks were done using motorcheck. The latter of the two (that I paid for) was out dated!!!!!!

Me a my partner are currently looking for a van to convert in to a camper for the first time. We came very close to buying one that we liked and was in our budget. Luckily I decided to do a check with motor check and the it came back that the van was a cat s insurance write off! This was not in the advert and apparently the seller was not aware. I spoke with Todd who was really helpful and confirmed this information for me. Paying a few pound for a vehicle check has saved us a few thousand pound! Thank you again.

Absolutely sh😮t they take your money and don’t even get back too you after a finance case i opened but there quick enough to take your money I was happy up until this point go somewhere else these are shocking

Todd was very helpful with my enquiry about my report. Responded very quickly.

I had already purchased a car, so within the return period I decided to check the HPI history myself after the Car dealership one didn't quite seem right.

NMR (National mileage register) and a plate change had flagged up on the provided one at the top, but a customer rating window at the bottom of the print out obscured the full report.

So through the Carwow site - Car history check which is provided by Motorcheck.co.uk, I paid for 3 reports for £14.99.

I read through the new report, indeed it showed the plate change and the NMR showed a discrepancy, the number plate change I had already picked up on the service records.
But the NMR concerned me.

I clicked on the check mileage discrepancies button and filled out the form provided.

Next business day I had a email message from Todd at Motor check.co.uk

To summarise his response...
These readings are taken from an insurer and are often rounded up or down to a best guess or in some cases applied to the wrong vehicle due to a private plate or human error. This can be cross-referenced against the MOTs near the time and other physical evidence.

Todd suggested that I could upload service history and MOT history so I did with ease-all through the motorcheck.co.uk messenger service.

I had a follow up email from Todd, and now I have total peace of mind.
Within a short time after they had reviewed my documentation the NMR discrepancy has been removed.
And all of the service history has been added to the report.

I was very impressed by the support and speed of the response, cars are a lot of money these days and I should of done this previously but getting all of the history of a car pre-sale can be sometimes difficult until a deposit is made.

Paid for a hpi check and for some reason I couldn't login to their website to see it so I paid again but still wouldn't work.
I called up for a refund and the person on the phone refused to refund both transactions.

Yes you only refunded one of the charges eventho I couldn't use any of your services.
So no you weren't helping you just refused to issue the second refund

Very misleading website get you hooked in for a £3.99 check then charge £19.99 for a bundle of 5 checks . Then refuse to refund the difference citing the actual cost of a single check is actually £8.50.

I ran a HPI check with the prior to buying my car and report was clear, i bought the car and 2 weeks later im told its a write off! I contacted Motorcheck who confirmed it was a cat N and were going to look into it and come back to me and thats the last i heard, whats the point in paying for a service if said service is NOT provided? I now have a car thats worth half what i paid for it, no appologies or offers of compensation, i thought you bought a HPI check to cover you against buying write offs?

Bought a recent check, it showed the finance was not cleared and dropped an email in and Aly followed it up and updated the report to say that it was clear after confirming with the owner he had made the payment to clear the finance, great value for money and all other items rang up true and accurate.

I had loads of online vehicle check websites to choose from but thought I would try Motorcheck and was not disappointed. I bought 5 checks for £19.99 as I was looking at a few vehicles to buy. The report was comprehensive and highlighted outstanding finance on one vehicle. Motorcheck then did a check on the finance situation and I received an email with a full explanation from a real person! Thank you James! Very professional and value for money service. Will definitely use again.

Rather a mixed bag with MotorCheck.co.uk I fear. I bought a report - it's not expensive and it is immediately accessible, which is good. The key areas of outstanding HP, write-off, possible theft etc were all very good and clearly laid out. What I do have an issue with, however, is the mileage. MotorCheck claimed that the mileage was more than 100,000 miles higher than it actually is. How do I know this? I looked at the history from the manufacturer and the service record, all main dealer work and all stamped and logged accordingly. I questioned this with MotorCheck and disappointingly they seemed to want me to verify the mileage and send them evidence to update their records. Hang on a minute, I paid them for the report and now I am being asked to do my own investigation and send it to them so they can use it? Surely that is not right, but that is what has happened. The upshot of this is that I paid a different agency for a report and guess what? The mileage on that one agreed with the manufacturer and service records. Sadly I am left feeling that I wasted my money with MotorCheck. I will note be using them again and on that basis would not recommend them.

Only used once and can’t fault the site. The vehicle had a milage discrepancy that was also shown on the DVLA site. I questioned this with the DVLA and also MotorCheck, they did some more digging and found the vehicle milage was actually correct, several days later the DVLA also removed the Discrepancy! Fast response when asking questions. Will use again!
