My review about Motorhome Iceland could be a bit articulated, but it reflects the reality of my experience.

With my girlfriend we rented a motorhome for our trip in Iceland last august 2025 through Motorhome Iceland, which works as intermediary, by identifying available vehicles available in different agencies/providers.
The booking experience with Motorhome was excellent, as they provided all the answers to my doubt/questions and ensured an high quality customer care.

However, some issues have been emerged with the rental company assigned to us for the picking-up of the veichle, named "Icerental 4x4", with whom we had some troubles along the trip, such as the old delivered motorhome model, with more than 130.000 km, and with several associated problems (not working external plug of the electricity, not working fridge, dirtiness of the interiors of the motorhome), the overall interaction with the staff of the company, which was terrible (rudeness, carelessness, absence of customer attention).
I'm aware that this bad elements can not be directly addressable to Motorhome Iceland, however, as I finalized my rental with them I should make them clear.

However, after the travel, Motorhome Iceland team was super super kind to provide a formal excuse for the inconveniences occurred with the rental company and offered a compensation with a goodwill gesture, associated to a fair amount of money.

By summarizing: if you would proceed with Motorhome rental, ask them in advance which would be the final rental company that will provide the veichle. They will be ready to provide al the info you may need.

Very good service.
The camper van was excellent. No problems with it. It was obviously well maintained.
Collection was good- it was busy at the time with two other collections but dealt with efficiently.
Drop off only took a few minutes.

The experience we got from Motorhome Iceland was just so amazing and very good, me and my sister were so pleased about the Toyota Hilux Camper which made us discover Iceland's beauty at our own pace. So I must say on a scale of 0 to 5: our final answer is 5 🥳

Motorhome Iceland was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Online booking was super simple and efficient. During the time leading up to our vacation, I had many question about "rv-ing" in Iceland. They were always thoughtful and prompt in their response. Picking up, checking out, and returning was super easy and quick. They motorhome was in excellent condition and well stock for our 10 day excursion. I would highly recommend Motorhome Iceland to anyone planning an RV trip in Iceland .

All was very good. Camper was equipped better than we expected. Pick up and backing camper ready. Motorhome helped us with airport transfer and they picked up us to hotel last day

I came back last week from our trip in Iceland. I've read hundreds of post in forums and with a lot of reserves, but finally I decided to make the campervan booking with motorhomeiceland.com.

Like I say, I was not really sure because honestly all this posts are full of commercials or fake people working for the companies. At least looks like.

We did this trip from 28.09.2019 to 08.10.2019.

This was our route: Keflavik -> Skjòl -> Skaftafell -> Höfn -> Mývatn -> Akureyri -> Stykkishólmur -> Reykjavík

-We took the Camper at 01:00. Nissan NV200 with the painting of Motorhome Iceland but served by Lava, as we were told in a previous email.

-The pickup service arrive 5 minutes late to the airport and was not really clear who was the guy, but the airport is really small and we found him. Really efficient. We were in the office in 5 min. The guy hive us the car, checked everything, pay and go.

-We did all the ring road, with no problem.

-Heating is incredible. It works all night long with the secondary battery. Webasto.

-Campingas is working really well. We use it inside and outside of the van.

-Sleeping place is ok for two adults. I am almost 1,85 and I can fit. Not more, but it was ok. They gave us 2 really warm sleeping bags too. They are not really necessary when heating is on. Last 2 days we parked the van in Reykavik and we were without second battery. Then the bags where really welcome.

-There was a little condensation inside. Not too much, I guess it is normal.

-We took Platinum insurance with zero excess and we had no problem returning the vehicle.

Honestly I can only express my gratitude to Lava Rental and MotorhomeIceland.com like intermediary.

I can only recommend this company.

The vehicule was perfect, we had a problem with the spare wheel but it has been fix in no time without any costs, because the assistance is very good.
Everybody was nice with us :-) I recommend Motorhome Iceland at 100%!
