I have nothing but praise for the way my breakdown recovery was handled. Within a short time of contacting GEM Motoring Assist, Michael from Yorkshire picked up my car which had broken down near the Derwent Bridge near Bubwith. He then drove me and the car to Alexander Nissan dealership in York where the battery needed a replacement.
Michael was courteous, efficient and answered all my questions clearly. It turned what could have been a stressful and distressing experience into one of a great level of support. In two words, what I got from Michael was true professionalism. Thank you!

My vehicle broke down and required recovering and taking to the main dealer. After phoning GEM easy process and discussing requirements GEN organised a recovery truck, my vehicle was uplifted and transported to the main dealer with no fuss.

Van wouldn't start. Very helpful and polite initial phone conversation with GEM and, after some confusion over the eligibility of my van (ex HM Prison service van formerly used as a minibus) it got sorted. Recovery arrived in under 2 hours, nice fella, drove me 10 miles to my designated mechanic. Got a courtesy call from GEM afterwards asking how things went. Can't fault this for service in any way.

Brilliant service. From calling about my breakdown, a technician was with me within 10 minutes. After confirming the car needed to go to a garage, he arranged it and a trailer arrived again within 10 minutes. Can't ask for better service

Broke down a few months ago and recovery out in 20 mins. Then today my wife put petrol into deisel car and yes I had to wait 2.5 hours for a independent fuel drain specialist to come out, but was kept informed all the time! Very impressed once again..

On my way to Southsea from home and suddenly smoke everywhere and horrible noises from the engine. Pulled into side road and after phone call to GEM within an hour I was on my way back home with car on recovery truck. Driver was great, the truck clean and he couldnt be more helpful

I found a screw in the tread of the rear nearside wheel. With the pressure down to 15 (normal 35) I considered it too dangerous to drive to a tyre depot.
When I phoned GEM Assist the lady answering talked through the problem then agreed with my assessment. She forecast that help would arrive within two hours. Three quarters of an hour later a recovery wagon arrive, took my car and me to a tyre depot of my choice four mile away where it was repaired for £20.

Having just driven home yesterday with my first hybred vehicle Day one and it is my first trip with the new car that will not start. I called GEM and was immediately told assistance would be with me in one hour. Thirty five minutes later an engineer arrived I was overwhelmed by the efficiency. Now its my turn to be embarrassed there is no engine sound on start up simply a notice which reads ready.
