DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. EVER.
If you care about your belongings, your mental health, or basic accountability, stay far away from Move With a Pro. What they did to my household was not just negligent—it was chaotic, dishonest, and emotionally traumatic.
I hired them during a major relocation, trusting them with my family’s possessions. What I received was a disaster:
- My Ashley dresser arrived with broken legs
- They lost the hardware needed to assemble my desk
- They left furniture still wrapped in filthy blankets and walked out without completing the job
- My son’s bed was only halfway assembled
- My box spring mattress frame was assembled only after I had to instruct them step-by-step—they had no idea how to do it
- They didn’t even show up until after 4:30 PM. The driver, Adam, said they were late because they had trouble finding people to unload the truck. And who did they find? People off the street—including a toothless elderly woman, a confused man, and his tweaker girlfriend. None of them knew what they were doing.
This was not a professional crew. It was a dump-and-run. They were in a hurry to leave because it was getting late. I asked them to stay and finish the job—they refused. They left with a massive amount of my furniture still wrapped in their filthy blankets. Photos of those blankets are included in this review.
They initially admitted fault and promised to cover everything. I have the messages. They told me to hire a handyman through Thumbtack and promised reimbursement. I followed through—they ghosted me. Then they offered to cover “one section” of the damage, ignoring the rest. Finally, they denied all liability and accused me of causing the damage.
Why the hell would I intentionally stain my own couch? It was less than two years old. I loved that couch. The ink stain was wet, fresh, and embedded in the fabric. There was no corresponding stain on the blanket, which proves the blanket either wasn’t wrapped properly or was swapped out to hide the damage.
And the pricing? A complete bait-and-switch. I was originally signed with a different company. Their salesperson, Edwin, was determined to win my business. I told him my biggest concern was price changes. He promised me a binding quote and even said the owner would call me to personally assure me the price wouldn’t change. I got a call from someone claiming to be “Alex”—but it was actually Amelia, pretending to be the owner. Later, I spoke to the real Alex, who is a man. That tells you everything you need to know.
I demanded a video assessment via WhatsApp and showed Edwin every item. He confirmed again: “The price will not change.” Then the crew tried to upcharge me by over $4,000. I told them to take everything off the truck. Their warehouse manager, Bashem, called the owner and lowered the upcharge by half. Still, they took the money I was supposed to use to start my life again. I was left penniless.
And Edwin? The moment I got upcharged, he disappeared.
When the truck arrived, Adam refused to unload anything until I signed paperwork. I hadn’t seen a single item. I had no choice but to sign.
Their “insurance partner”? I investigated it. It’s a shady third-party portal designed to shield them from accountability. No transparency. No resolution.
I offered a $2,000 settlement. My legal counsel reviewed the evidence and advised me to pursue full damages, attorney’s fees, and punitive compensation. I’ve filed formal complaints and will pursue every legal and regulatory avenue available.
This company is not just unprofessional—they are dangerous. You’ve been warned.
