Moving Nation Reviews 

This is THE WORST move I have ever had. The packers arrived at 11:45 am on a Sunday morning and left at 11:00 pm. They “forgot” to pack a pantry in our laundry room and a hall closet. I had a patio set of 2 chairs and a table and they “forgot” to pack the 2 chairs but packed the table???? We had a set of 8’ steer horns and they were destroyed at destination. I specifically asked them to pack my 7.5 Christmas tree from a shed in the backyard...they “forgot”. I had a lot of yard art in my front flower bed with solar lights that they hadn’t packed, so I reminded them they need to go, so they threw it all in a big cardboard box and half of it was broken at destination.
They packed my Mom’s antique carnival ware on the ‘bottom’ of the box, then put lots of heavy items on top of it and when I unpacked the box, half of the carnival was broke, and it was worth a pretty penny. Than You Moving Nation for caring so much.
The price they quoted me went up about 1200.00 ‘after’ the fact. Then when the delivery day came the 18wheeler truck couldn’t fit in our driveway, so they had to go unload all our stuff into 2 rented U Haul trucks, with an additional 1500.00 charge. Than you again Moving Nation.
If you can please use a “reputable” mover, like United Van Lines or Bekins. At the end of the day the price will be about even between a reputable and a non-reputable company, like Moving Nation.
The Customer Service was horrible, very uncaring about your personal stuff being destroyed, or being nice and polite.
If you can, Run away from Moving Nation.
They don’t even really deserve a 1 Star, but I wasn’t able to leave no stars.

We settled on using Moving Nation for the second time both because we were happy with the service that we got the first time and the rates that they charge as compared to other movers. The move was back to Iowa (we had to move from there for a project) and from a rented apartment back to our own house. I think we may have even got the same moving team as last time. Anyway, their work was just fast and easy as the move here. A reliable company and good staff.

A job well done by a reliable moving company that has become our favorite. We were moving my son into his new apartment in Maryland and decided on Moving Nation because they have helped a number of friends and family with their moves recently. What I notice is that once someone uses them, they rarely if ever use another company in the future. (Those who do switch for lower prices but usually end up with a huge headache in the process.) In my opinion, their service is perfectly priced for the level of quality they give. Highly recommended!

Do NOT use this moving company! Not only do they lack communication between different employees during the process, they lie and lose your belongings! I have never in my life met such uncaring business people! They don’t even care they lost a lot of my sentimental belongings! I was told to fill out a claims form but was warned “it is really not worth it” HAH! Total waste of a lot of money to move!

I have only written a couple of reviews in my whole life but decided to add Moving Nation to the honor roll because of how much they exceeded my expectations. I believe this was the first time that I have completed such a large move (4 bedroom home) over such a large distance (to RI) and still not had any items damaged or broken. The credit goes entirely to the pros who made up the moving team and did such a fine job. I have already recommended them to my new neighbors and will use them again if I have to move in the future.

We settled on Moving Nation because they were available at short notice when we had to do an emergency move. Now that I read all the nightmare stories about lost and broken things, rude movers and legal battles to reclaim your own property, it seems we got very, very lucky choosing them! At no time did we ever feel like the movers were dilly-dallying and they were nice, genuine people to talk to as well. The price wasn’t the cheapest but we had to settle on it for the quick service. All things considered, I think Moving Nation was definitely the right choice!

My mother recommended Moving Nation to me because they did such a good job of moving her into her new, smaller home after my dad passed away. I was not sure if they could do as good a job since I was moving an entire 5 bedroom house, that too all the way to Arizona. However, I decided to give them a try after speaking to their customer service and getting some very frank answers about costing and timing. The movers did a great job on the day itself and I am very happy to recommend them.

Moving Nation was absolutely horrible. I went through every room online with the person doing the estimate. A few days before the move another person called me to review and said that picture boxes were not included in the estimate even though I had told the estimator that we wanted the pictures packaged. They said this would be an additional $900 even after they listened to the recorded conversation and heard me say that we wanted the pictures packed. Then the day after they had picked up the furniture they tell me it will be an additional $1300 because the furniture took up more room than they estimated. They left a large antique tool box behind which will cost us a few hundred more to ship. I called for over a week trying to get a delivery date and then they call the night before to say truck will arrive 8-10 the next morning. I arrange for someone to meet the truck as it was too late to fly out. At 9:00 in the morning the movers call to say they will be there 4-6. When they finally arrive they try to charge an additional $300 for length of driveway when it clearly states in their contract that it is $75 per 75 lin ft over the first 75 lin ft. That put the cost at $150, not $300. They were not going to move the furniture without payment until we called and told their office they were in breach of contract. We ended up spending $2,350 more than the estimate and this was only a condo of furniture that was being moved, not a whole house. In addition to which, the pictures were not in boxes as we were charged for, they were covered with blankets.

Moving Nation did yet another great job for us and we just wanted to add our voice here to the chorus already singing their praises. What we like best about them is how open they are about their pricing right from the start of the process. A lot of companies try to suck you in with a low first quote and then up the charges later. With Moving Nation, you get honesty from the start. I think it may scare some people away but if they did their research they’d come running back. We were moving a 3-bedroom home to Maryland.

If you don’t like the hassle of moving but still have to move, Moving Nation is the answer for you. Their professional team comes in, handles all the difficult stuff and delivers to your new address. They might not be the cheapest option out there but the moving industry really is a case of ‘pay peanuts, get monkeys’. If you value the things you own, get professional movers like Moving Nation to help – you will be a lot happier in the end. Our move was handled perfectly by these guys.

My wife settled on Moving Nation because they offered a good rate as compared to the moving company that we usually use. I was a little apprehensive at first but in the end I have to say that she made a good call. The movers stuck to the timetable they gave us, right from their arrival time to the packing and loading and then the delivery and unloading. It made it a lot easier to coordinate things at my new home. I will use them again for my next move and hope they repeat the fantastic job they did this time.

I have been using professional movers for a number of years becuase my job involves a transfer evey year. Even though my compnay pays for the whole move and has a contract with another company, I have always used Moving Nation because they are more reliable and careful with your things while still being cheaper that most other similar movers. The actual people doing the moving may change but htw ssame dedication and expertise is the same. This time, I had to move and Moving Nation team did professional job as it always does.

We first used Moving Nation many years ago when they were probably one of the newest movers around. The reason we chose them then is that they had really low rates to attract new customers. Over the years, they have raised their rates a little bit but that price increase has come together with better service, faster delivery and incomparable customer service. In this move, we were moving our office to California and it had to be done professionally because of the expensive equipment we have. As usual, Moving Nation came through and did a perfect job.

We had a very nice experience using Moving Nation to move our daughter into her 2bdr apartment in NJ. The estimate we were given was one of the reasonable ones considering the short time they said it would take. We were sceptical at first but gave them a shot anyway sonce the estimate was among the lowest of all the rest of the companies. Fortunately, they kept their word and delivered as promised on both the time and the money. We not moving in near future but we recommended them to all our friends and family.

I have finally found a moving company that performs a service like they promise in their ads. Moving Nation is very well run and a lot of the credit must go to the office managers who run a tight ship and make sure customers are never left hanging when we ask questions or when we are concerned about our possessions. We knew we had made the right choice in hiring Moving Nation for our move to North Carolina as soon as they arrived ahead of time on the day. The neat and clean uniforms, the polite way of speaking and also the good condition of the vehicle and the moving equipment just confirmed that we were dealing with professionals. The guys worked hard and did their best to stick to the schedule we had been given so a few minutes lost here and there was no big deal. Overall, we are very satisfied with how well they moved a 3-bedroom apartment.

The Moving nation movers are very professional. You can tell by the way they speak that they have been doing this a long time. They are also well presented with neat clothing and actual work boots instead of casual clothing and sneakers which you get moonlighting part-timers. But it is not just the look, they also know the job, work quickly and keep you updated of the process when your things are on the move. They helped me move into 3-bedroom condo last month and I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for pro movers.

Honestly I was skeptical giving up control. I have always moved myself. I figured I’m a little older so let’s let someone else handle the hard work for me. My god what a difference. I will never move myself again.
It was so nice when my kids saw I could hire real movers to do the work. They’ve watched me cuss and stress out moving myself and fight with my wife. This time I could sit back and handle the other stuff. My price went up a little bit that’s on me. I forgot a few things. All in all. Awesome!

This was the first time that I have used a professional moving company and I did not know what exactly to expect given the mixed reviews the industry gets. So I don’t know if I got lucky or what but Moving Nation did everything right. I did not have to worry about my things getting damaged once I saw the care with which they were packing and carrying them. The movers were nice people, hardworking guys who did their job well and did not bum around. They deserve a lot of credit for getting everything in my new appartment on time and unscathed.

Moving Nation is probably the best balance of cost and reliability in the moving industry. I say that after having used more than 10 different companies over the past 12 years for my home, my parents’ home and my office. While most of them did an adequate job, none had the combination of good customer service, reliable timing and honest pricing that Moving Nation does. While moving a 2 bedroom house to Michigan is definitely not the biggest job they have done, the team was on the ball and treated my things with respect and care. Very highly recommended.
