This is still ongoing and you must be…

This is still ongoing and you must be careful as it is a SCAM.

In the end it will ask you to send money to register domains and brand in china wich is false and nothing will be registered. Thank God I read Trustpilot and came to my senses. mpox.org isn't even having an SSL certificate and is using some scammy old website design with untrusty menu options. If they are who they say they are, they sould've had a .cn (China) domain.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Scam

Again like many others concluded it is a scam:
TenRa is active in many branches ;)
Dear Sir/Madam,

Related the “xxxxxxxx“. This is an offical registrar in China. Today we formally received an application that a company called TenRa Global Ltd were applying to register “xxxxxxxxx“as their Net Brand and some “xxxxxxxxx“ Asian countries top-level domain names through our firm.

Now we are handling this registration, and after our initial checking, we found the name were similar to your company’s, so we need to check with you whether your company has authorized that company to register these names. Please confirm as soon as possible if you have approved their application.

Best Regards,
Truman Guo

Scam! Don't believe it!

As a Chinese, I actually received this email from the so-called "China Domain Name Registration Company", LOL. Like others have said, it's a scam, don't believe it! The reasons are as follows:
1. The phone number is not a Chinese number, and the length of the number is wrong.
2. The sending time of the email is more than 2 o'clock in the middle of the night in China time. It is impossible for the Internet company to work at that time. Do they work overtime all night to send emails? lol
3. This domain was only registered in 2022, which is obviously too new.
So, please do not believe anything in this email!

Scammers! Don't reply…

Earlier this year I already received another mail from a similar account, claiming that a company in China insisted my brand name be relevant for their business there and they wanted me to register my brand name with chinese TLDs through them to secure my name from competition. Yeah right. The first time around I was dumb enough to reply and to get involved in a correspondence, but of course it went nowhere.

Now, I got the same type of mail again. This time from daisy at mpox.org:
"Dear CEO or Manager, This is a confirmation letter of your company name (my brand name), please read it carefully. We are China Official Registrar. Recently we received an application from XinYe Global Ltd, they apply to register (my brand name) as their Brand Name and some top-level asian domain names. Please confirm if you have approved their application. Please give a confirmation as soon as possible. Thanks. Best regards, Daisy Xun, Tel 086 559-5144820, Fax 086 559-5144820, Address: No. 666 West Wangjang Road Hefei, Anhui, China"

A quick search revealed that the domain mpox.org was just registered a few days ago. This alone shows that there is no way they can be a legit Registrar.

I will try to ignore this, though I am sure they will be nagging for a while from here on.

mpox.org is an email scam company…

mpox.org It's a scam company (previously as mncio.org.cn) pretending to be the department of Asian Domain Registration Service in China. They will send emails telling people that someone in China is trying to register your brand name.

We first received an email from MNCIO-web.org from mncio.org.cn telling me that some Chinese company applied to register our brand name and domain name, and asked if we approve their application. We responded that we haven't approved anyone and we don't authorize anyone and eventually they stopped replying.

Few months later (when mncio.org.cn was dead) I received the same identical email from mncio-ssl.cn asking for my approval about another company registering with my brand name.
