I am a frequent Mr D Delivery user

I am a frequent Mr D Delivery user, but I had an incredibly disappointing experience with my order from Pick n Pay yesterday. The delivery driver was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I greeted him, he ignored me completely and didn't offer a single word in return. Instead of handing over the delivery, he simply dropped my groceries on the ground in front of my door and walked away. This is the first time I have encountered such a poor attitude and lack of basic courtesy. I expect much better service than this.

I placed an order usual, paid for the order, but it was late. I tried calling only to be told I am being transferred to another department, and they dropped the call, their WhatsApp is not working. They reached out again and offered that I cancel the order or they will escalate it , I was put on hold and then they dropped the call AGAIN! This is very frustrating DFD322828010

Appalling service delivery

Appalling service delivery. They will have you wait for more than 2 hours for the arrival of your order of which you still receive no delivery.

This has happened on a number of occasions, its becoming a standard.

I ordered food last night just before…

I ordered food last night just before 8pm, 9pm Still waiting I called in was told driver was on their way to collect my order 9:30 still waiting called again. Lady said she would call me back which she did only to tell me the Driver had eaten my food. This is beyond shocking and although I was credited it is horrific that you would have people working for you who eat clients paid for food.

I have been waiting for over two hours…

I have been waiting for over two hours for my order and it still says the store is on it on the app. At this point it would have been better if I went to the shops myself and get the goods. But I can't because If I cancel the order I will get the money back into my acooubt after days.

I have ordered 2 times this week and I must say it, I'm very impressed with the service I got. Both the people who brought my food where clean, professional, friendly with good manners and approach and even the cars were clean. I delayed a bit coming out, they were still professional and polite and I got my order in time and it was still warm, my drink was still cold. Keep up the good service Mr D 🤏🏽🤏🏽🤏🏽💯🖐🏽🙌🏽

More Than Just a Delivery Service!

I used to use them myself for years when I lived in SA up to 2020. Now I use them a couple times a month to have food delivered to friends in South Africa from the USA. I lived in SA for 9 years and times are tough everywhere. Mr. D allows me to easily help my friends there with a meal and even groceries from PnP. Always reliable and tracking is great. Any issues or hiccups are ALWAYS handled with customer service. Usually with a nice credit or voucher. For me they are more than a delivery service. They are a service to help SA friends who are struggling to make ends meet from far away!

Good day
My review is purely based on association, today.
The fact that MrD is associated with Takealot, is enough for me to put this review down.

I shouldn't be waiting for my refund, when Takealot is at fault for not delivering on their commitment. Funds should reflect immediately into my account, so that I can make purchases somewhere else. This is unacceptable, I'll be sure to to let Mr D also know why I'm canceling them as well, because I can't be associated with anyone that does business with unethical Takealot, that can't even honor their commitment, instead penalize their clients for their inability to not deliver! Ontop of it, you join their loyal program, so that you pay less, not being aware that the agony, suffering and frustration of not receiving your delivery on time, will cost you your sanity, time and eventually more money, especially knowing that they can decide at any moment to extend your delivery time to 3 weeks to a month, that's what they did to me and unlike Amazon that compensate you, when it's their mistake, these unscrupulous, crooked company just cancels your order and tells you to wait 3-5 business days for your refund to reflect, forgetting the inconvenience they've caused you, in my case, I had to buy alternatives to feed my dogs and alternative creams for my kids, extra money's that I don't have.....

Unacceptable!

If a lot of us stand-up against companies like this, we can force them to treat consumers right or lose the very greed that they glutton after, money!

Absolutely pathetic service.

I ordered from Nandos, and my food never arrived. The Mr D customer service agent promised to check and call back to confirm the status of delivery and never did. On my second call (and after in inordinate time spent on hold) I was informed that the order was cancelled as they could not locate the driver! And it was too late in the evening to order elsewhere. You shouldn't be in the service industry Mr D. Perhaps a name change to Mr. Non Delivery is appropriate!

Our Driver tonight his name is Chris . He was really sweet . I got my address wrong on the app and he had no problem fixing it as it was just around the corner. He was so nice about it no issues at all. Would not mind getting him as my driver again.

I had to phone to find out what took so long after phoning then my order was processed
And then getting my food it was ice cold
