A very poor experience on MSC
A very poor experience on MSC, my wife has been on several cruises and wanted to the share the experience with the family. I must admit it was the most dreadful holiday I’ve been on and I didn’t like anything about MSC. Very unpleasant staff, a cabin which stank of a piss ally, guest service which provided no service. Staff needs some updated training because it surely didn’t feel like a hospitality sector. I slept in my balcony for the duration of the cruise because of the poor condition of the rooms

This is the 3rd MSC cruise I’ve been on. I am a bit disappointed with this cruise, I found the food choice and quality not as good as before, the bar staff were a bit slower to serve the ladies, telling my friend to ‘calm down’. The Theatre shows were excellent, the ship although older is lovely, the Mexican lady on the future cruise desk was so helpful and very friendly and pleasant, overall I did enjoy the cruise and have booked a future cruise for January 27.

Food options for plainer eaters and…
Food options for plainer eaters and buffet food to be hotter. Never used Dining room as menu didn't suit. Specialty restaurants Hola,/ Butchers cut were amazing they were the 2 we ate in. Draught beer needs Hugh improving and stock more bottled beer.

As we are sure you can appreciate, food taste and temperature is a subjective matter and we do try to cater, as much as possible, to different guests tastes, however MSC is a Mediterranean company and as such not all food will be served as hot as you would get in a UK based restaurant for example. We are glad you enjoyed Butchers cut and Hola.

A cruise with MSC
The crew were friendly and helpful. The food and amenities fantastic. We were kept informed by the Captain. Although due to turbulent seas we were unable to dock at two ports listed on our voyage we were entertained and well looked after. We are planning and looking forward to our next cruise with MSC.

Everything was great. Some excursions I would have liked more time. To spend the day instead of a few hours but overall very enjoyable experience.

Never again
There is absolutely no privacy in your cabin .The staff comes in whenever they want when you are not there, even after 10 pm ! (I guess they have spy cameras) One evening we returned to our cabin at 10 pm and we found a worker there cleaning the bathroom floor. We had to wait outside about half an hour until he finishes. I don't blame the worker, he was just following his manager's inadequate instructions. Another bad experience -food. I have been on many cruises but I never seen such a poor food selection. Almost all the food was very spicy. But the worst thing was that this ship is too small for that many people. People simply had nowhere to sit

You need to keep an eye on cabin cleaning for consistency.

My third cruise on MSc great experience…
My third cruise on MSc great experience with the two previous ones. I’m not much of a drinker but on this cruise the bar service was appalling and I felt they were prone to serve men first. I actually stopped going to the bar and got my friends to go for me.Some of the staff in the buffet were quite rude also.
On a very big plus the entertainment was very good and the ship was very clean and well kept. I would still go on another MSc cruise but the bar service had to be improved

MSC cruises are normally fantastic, but…
MSC cruises are normally fantastic, this latest cruise was mixed. Some of the staff in the buffet area made the experience less than good. On the flip side when we connected with a brilliant staff member, the experience was memorable. For example, if you eat in the Mexican restaurant, ask for John, he’s one of the nicest people on the ship.

MSC Virtuosa
The MSC Virtuosa is an amazing ship. It’s a great way of traveling and it feels like a luxury hotel on water. We didn’t want to leave at the end of the trip!
The food was unbelievable and they have something for everyone on the ship!
