For any of you considering getting a log burner I highly recommend Jordan Owen trading as MTR Installations. Jordan is a HETAS registered installer in Northallerton.
We moved to Northallerton recently and talked to several businesses before deciding to use Jordan. His customer service is excellent. I'd struggle to think of anything he could do better.
He spent over an hour with us to explain what was required before we decided which business to use. Before and after installation he answered numerous questions.
Joordan and his colleague Alex removed a 1980s stone fire place and surround before preparing the chimney breast and chamber for installation. They protected carpets and cleaned up well so residual mess was mainly dust.
After installation we had to wait before we could use the logburner to allow plaster to dry out. If you don't it could crack.
Jordan then spent nearly 2 hours with us showing how to use the log burner and explains do's and don'ts.
