Amy is an outstanding guitar instructor. She breaks concepts down in a way that makes them easy to understand, yet she consistently challenges you to grow. In just 30 days, I made more progress than I had in a full year with other instructors.
I started playing guitar the summer of 2025 after having a guitar that was collecting dust for the past 2 years. I had tried taking lessons with a different instructor however, it wasn’t a good match for me. I found Amy through Taylor Robinson and have been taking lessons with her for over six months and feel I’ve progressed a lot. She’s very kind, patient and will make you feel comfortable by taking short breaks and crack in a joke or two to keep you motivated. I’m very grateful to have crossed paths with Amy.
Amy has taught all three of our boys over the years and does an amazing job of tailoring her teaching style to each kid’s individual personality. She is an amazing musician but is also kind and funny and makes lessons fun for the kids. We recommend her highly!
I think she is a great teacher I’ve been here for 6 years and I have learned so much from doing kids songs to pop music . I definitely recommend Mrs Amy as a teacher .
Amy is such a talented teacher and performer. My kids love their piano lessons with Amy. She is patient and kind, but also pushes them to learn something new each week. She teaches them theory in a way that’s easy for them to grasp, so they are both reading music and learning to play it. I highly recommend Amy as a music teacher or to perform at your next event.
She is a great teacher for young ones especially boys. She is very patient but really pushes when she needs to. My 8 year old son has really thrived with Miss Amy.
Amy is a beautiful singer and pianist, and a fantastic teacher. I found her online when I was searching for a Houston-area piano teacher who was certified to teach Suzuki method. As an adult student returning to piano after many years, she helped fill in the gaps in my very uneven foundation and helped me make progress in piano and my overall understanding of music. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
