mhhh

"I found Hypedit and followed John's instructions to the letter, but I encountered a cost per click ratio of 0.40 for the first campaign, 0.57 for the second, and 0.60 for the third - an absolute failure in terms of cost-benefit. With an ad created by myself on Facebook, I achieved a cost per click of 0.03 cents. You do the math. This is not promotion, but speculation - a campaign that campaigns for its own campaign.

I bought this course

I bought this course, and it is misleading and not helpful at all. You have to keep buying stuff to get more information, and even then you get not anything you already know.

It said to be helpfull with growing your spotify listeners, while it's actually a course for how to make a Facebook add what is easily found on YouTube.

There is no contact number or email to be found, and so I don't know how to get 140 euros back.

Don't buy this course.

Absolutely game changing

Absolutely game changing! There a tremendous amount of was to cut it but John teaches musicians the basics on marketing. Of course he suggests using Hypeddit and that is clear. You can create a similar landing page if your savvy but why not invest in your music! The community of musicians that connect and help each other is amazing!

musicgrowthengine.com hypeddit.com John Gold

I bought a training course from John Gold from musicgrowthengine.com in response to a YouTube ad from John Gold. The training course was about marketing your music on Spotify. I paid $37 for this course hoping to learn about how to market my music.

There were a few good points in that training course, but the main issue was the whole course was about marketing using a platform called hypeddit.com which has a monthly subscription to be of any use. I liked the premise in that course so I took PRO membership of hypeddit.com.

However, the download gates created by hypeddit.com were wrong and spammy. There were 2 issue which I found out immediately after creating the first download gate:

1. After users download your song using the hypeddit.com gate, the gate then starts showing random songs from other artists. So if the users click on your download gate the second time around they don't see your song but other songs from random people on your download gate.

Basically, for money you invest in your own ads they are promoting themselves and other artists after your ad, and the whole user experience is like a major spam.

2. Their gate had terms and conditions stating that the either artist or hypeddit.com can send emails to the fans, which is again wrong. If someone is paying for ads the collected emails all belong to the person running the ads, and the software company in the middle should not have any ownership on the collected data. If hypeddit.com sends mails to people who have subscribed to the artist mails it would only affect the artist reputation.

The whole setup seems wrong and just seems to be a layered spam architecture to first sell a training course which is not useful without a subscription, then get more money through hypeddit.com subscription, then get free promotions for hypeddit.com platform by corrupting/spamming ads being paid for by artists and finally potentially spam the artist's followers with hypeddit.com promotions.

I recommend that you do not use this site and do not buy this course as it could have a negative impact on your reputation due to the volume of spam involved. Imagine you put these gates created through hypeddit.com on your social media accounts hoping to get followers and after first view on your gate the viewers are redirected to random people's songs and if they return to your gate they see other's songs, not yours. It would be too bad for your social media accounts and your reputation. And if people who have subscribed to receive your emails also start getting hypeddit.com promotional emails, where does that leave your reputation?
