Music-to-XML is a streamlined desktop application for musicians who primarily want to transfer printed music into another notation program. It accepts PDF scores, scanned files and images captured with mobile devices, recognizes the musical notation and converts it directly into the MusicXML interchange format. The resulting file can be opened in applications such as Dorico, Sibelius, MuseScore, Notion and many other MusicXML-compatible programs. With supported applications, converted music can open automatically after recognition. Music-to-XML uses the same core recognition technology as SmartScore 64 but omits SmartScore’s extensive notation editing, playback, score-layout and production tools. It is therefore positioned as a fast, affordable bridge between printed sheet music and a user’s preferred notation software.
