Proceed with caution — no evidence provided for claims
Our experience with Martha’s Vineyard Vacation Rentals & Sales was extremely disappointing. My family rented through this company twice while visiting Martha’s Vineyard. After our most recent stay, we were told the property owner claimed the home had been left “messy.”
Despite requesting it multiple times, no photos, invoices, or written documentation were ever provided to support that claim. We were never charged for damages and were never shown any evidence of a problem.
Instead, we were later informed that the company would no longer rent any of their properties to us.
As real estate professionals who also operate short-term rental homes, we know that legitimate cleaning or damage issues are typically documented and communicated clearly. That never happened here.
Based on our experience, renters and homeowners should proceed with caution when working with Martha’s Vineyard Vacation Rentals & Sales.
