Excellent small service provider

I have been using mxroute for a few private email accounts for about a year.
Pro: Great competitive niche offering run by a technically very competent email professional. One of the few places left on the web where you directly get help from humans instead of the usual layered first level support script and bot BS. They are touchy about their TOS. That's a good thing when it comes to email services.
Con: Seems to be mostly a one man show which might affect service availability and business continuity.

Both Pro and Con are probably the cost and benefit of going with a small provider. If email is critical, you should have a plan B anyway. mxroute is for you if you know what you are doing, have a plan B, and are good at following their TOS.

Reliable, trustworthy, good support

I've been using this service since 2019.

Along with my personal emails, I'm using this for my client emails too.

It's a reliable service for delivery, with good support, and very good spam filtering.

For me, it's important to know that the foundation (hosting, email hosting, DNS etc.) is good, so I can concentrate on my work, not on fixing infrastructure problems. In those terms, MXroute has been a set-and-forget kind of service - the best there is (emails should be "boring" and "just work").

Rock-solid email, responsive support, and zero tolerance for spam

I found MXroute a couple of years ago when looking for a new provider for my personal email. My primary complaints with my previous provider were that emails were sometimes not delivered and customer service interactions slow and often ineffective.

With MXroute I gained reliable deliverability and responsive customer service from the get-go. Further, the focus on preventing both inbound and outbound spam (or anything that looks, sounds, or smells like it) is admirable and greatly appreciated. In my experience and from what I've observed, the team treats customers and potential customers with legitimate, non-spam email needs professionally and courteously.

I have zero complaints and would happily recommend MXroute to those who have the domain name management knowledge to configure the service.

Very Unprofessional and Angry Owner

Doing business with MXRoute is a huge waste of time and money.

One of my employees emailed them for support after running into an issue with one of our client’s accounts. The owner responded in a very hostile and unfriendly way, and my employee replied matching his tone.

After a very short email exchange he decided to cancel our service, which we had for over 2 years. He stated that my employee was disrespectful to him and refused to provide a refund.

This was highly disruptive to our business as we lost access to many emails.

We’ve since settled with a more reputable and professional email provider and I highly suggest you do the same!

When I referred to Wesley, the owner of Windsor IT, as incredibly hot headed, angry, and very easy to set off, this behavior is exactly what I was referring to.

He is attempting to flood us with negative reviews because he is upset that Trustpilot declined to remove a review I posted about his business. I did business with him, and I am entitled to leave a review. Notably, he had already done the same to us, and has now posted three separate reviews under three different names.

None of the claims in his reviews are true. They are fabricated variations of the same story, written to appear unique and organic. They are not.

If Wesley wants to point out that we have other negative reviews, that part is true. It is also widely known that when spammers attempt to use our service, we terminate those accounts. That predictably makes them very angry, and it accounts for the vast majority of our negative feedback.

It is unfortunate that Wesley has such severe anger issues, but that is not our responsibility, and it is no longer our problem. Personally, I wouldn’t take a lesson in ethics from someone who posts two bad reviews under two different names just 20 minutes apart, but that’s just me.

Great service, long-time private customer

I am a long-time customer, and I have never had an issue with the service. The upkeep is impeccable, and provided you know what you are doing, the configuration is a breeze. I haven't got a single issue with my e-mails on my domains. Read the rules, understand them, follow them, and appreciate one of the few services left that offers private individuals an exceptional experience.

Awesome company

Awesome company. So far no proplem. very satisfied. This is a way to thank you for you service and affordable price. We usually rush to give bad feeback when somthing is wrong but when eveything is good we keep quiet. Thank you for your service. BTW i loved the new UI that you introduced. The previous one was not very userfriendly but now it's far better. Keep doing the great work

Unprofessional support tone and poor issue handling

I contacted MXroute about an issue. Unfortunately, my experience with support was disappointing. The replies felt unnecessarily hostile and confrontational, rather than calm and solution-focused.

The issue was not resolved. I understand that providers have policies and limits, but I expect respectful communication and clear, practical troubleshooting steps.

Because of the tone and the way the situation was handled, I can’t recommend MXroute based on my experience.

And this is the reason, why I am not a customer of these business any more!

Great value email server for hobbyists

I've been using MXRoute now for over a year, and it suddenly occurred to me just how easy the process has been.

You need to understand some basics around changing DNS records. Ultimately, for $75, I've got a lifetime email server which has been perfect since day zero.

They aren't a hands-on support service, so I wouldn't suggest it unless you are technically leaning. However, I don't think you need to understand a huge amount about emails and networking to get on board and get on well with the service.

As long as you already know how to change DNS records on Cloudflare, you're going to be absolutely fine. I highly recommend them.

So funny when it comes to Refund

These guys are so funny when it comes to Refund.

I got their Black Friday offer back in 2020. Everything works fine.

I have not been using it since past two years.

This year, I got charged and requested them a refund.

First they said, "Cancelled services can't be Refunded" as clearly mentioned in their Policy "We do not refund cancelled contracts"

So that means, my service should be Active in order to get a Refund.

And yes, that's because Active service is charged and eligible for a Refund. How a Cancelled service be charged and eligible for a Refund.

Now comes the funny thing.

When I get charged, requested a refund, they said they can't refund a Mid-term contract.

Just waooo!!!

After back and forth via ticket, I used a bad word with ****, and mentioned---I get that, scammers won't refund, I am donating the charged amount to poor people at MXRoute.

The next, blocked my account. Here's their last reply:

I decided to set up my own email and…

I decided to set up my own email and quickly learned I am not as good as I thought. Found mxroute scouring Google for days and have had success since day one. I will surely be a customer for the life of my internet ventures.

Support is literally top notch, while this service does assume its customers know how to utilize it, their chat has plenty of helpful people and their staff is beyond helpful through the official support routes.

Thanks guys looking forward to never dealing with email backend stuff in my life!

MXRoute is not just an email hosting…

MXRoute is not just an email hosting service, it is one of the services offered with the greatest love and passion by one of the most dedicated people I know in this field.

I have been using MXRoute since 2023 and I can say with my hand on my heart that since then I know that my emails are safe, but what is most important is that the emails I send reach the recipient's inbox.

DO not use this service if you value your email

I had significant issues with this email service that potential users should be aware of:
Data Loss & Security Concerns:

Experienced unexplained email blocking with no clear resolution process
Lost multiple important emails due to what appeared to be administrative errors
Most concerning: data deletion that seemed retaliatory after raising service complaints

Customer Service Issues:

Unprofessional responses to legitimate service concerns
Felt that questioning service quality resulted in punitive actions rather than problem-solving
Communication became hostile when I attempted to address these issues

Recommendation:
Before choosing this provider, I'd suggest reading through their responses to other negative reviews to get a sense of how they handle customer complaints. For those who need reliable email service and professional customer support, you may want to consider alternatives.
Note: These are my personal experiences with this service. Others may have different experiences.

This user is not a customer of MXroute. The events they are describing as their own did not take place. The events they are describing about others relate to spammers and criminals who were terminated for knowingly misusing our platform in a way that attempted to damage service for all of our customers. The time they refer to me being "volgure" (vulgar?) refers to me saying very nasty things to a person who impersonated the US Social Security office and attempted to defraud thousands of people using our platform to do it.

We'll keep terminating spammers and criminals who seek to ruin our product for the rest of our customers. We'll continue to be vulgar to people who purchase service just to try to use it to lie and steal from other people.

If this user wants to prove that they are legitimate, let us first agree on these terms: There is no way that someone describing this kind of service would still be a paying customer. That means they have nothing to fear from allowing me to review their account's support tickets. If this user writes in to abuse@mxroute.com and provides me with the name and email address on their account with us, which confirms their claims of data loss due to our error, I will pay them $500 in cash. I will pay it via PayPal or any other trustworthy platform that takes US credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover).
